Last summer our area got hit by pretty substantial floods. We watched destruction happen, but we also watched people pull together and help each other out. It was a time where uncertainty and worry gave way to compassion and community. It's easy to lose sight of what we can do when we work together and we wanted to capture that point in time as best as we could.
We've been working with local songwriters and musicians over the last year to bring a collection of songs to life about our experiences as a community. We hope that these songs accurately reflect how we can be better when we pull together.
This album is available on Bandcamp now. We're not charging anything for it, but there is an option to pay whatever you determine is fair (and we hope that you do). All proceeds from this album will be going to charity - both to Neighborhood Connections - Vermont (a local community focused non profit that helped with the flood relief) as well as to organizations that are currently requesting assistance for the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.
Many thanks to the songwriters and musicians (Jill Sachs, Thomas Davidson, Max Aire Cassano, Chris Mays, Stuart Osnow, Maya Drummond, Graham Parker, Joel Jordan, and John Pennington).
