Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust: After the ash and smoke from fires last week, Alice Springs has been hit again, as a thick dust storm rolls through town. Coming in from the west, and whipped up by strong winds, the thick cloud of red desert dust quickly enveloped Mt Gillen and the ranges before descending on the centre of town. Motorists on the Stuart Highway have been forced to travel with their lights on as the thick cloud makes its way east.
