We will soon be dropping one of our biggest projects, the 'Leaving Reality' VA. Featuring Nemean, BaSys, Aye Rights and Momentum. Every one involved has worked extremely hard on this project and will be released 3 weeks from submission to the publisher Cygnus Music. Final tweaks are still being made so submission will be in the next or two.

First up for Promo Video duties is BaSys "The Last Battle", a track that was in development for several months and was designed to have an epic vibe and to be an experience when heard on a big sound-system.

Hi guys BaSys here, I've just had confirmation that my remix of 'Dead by Dawn' by Future Forces will be on the Remix Project. Expect something a bit different than the other remixes. Elements from two of the three versions of Dead by Dawn plus bits from other classics which tease themselves throughout the track. The intro kicks off with a sample of Loxy explaining the Renegade Hardware philosophy...

'Call of the Depths' is the title track of the next ROOT 2097 release by BaSys, which is released on Wednesday the 6th September!

'Call of the Depths' is loosely based on the book Call of Cthulhu which was brought to BaSys's attention by the producer Bache. The book is noted as the first 'Cosmic Horror' and features an ancient deity that takes the form of a giant sea monster. In the ROOT 2097 version various stories from different eras intersect. A female scientist on an underwater research station has a violent meeting with the monster, as do samurai warriors in an alternate timeline, and a host of others also have an encounter with the beast.
The track itself has an epic orchestral horror intro that oozes menace, which then drops into tearing bassline which sounds like a monster roaring. Heavy beats are broken up by the occasional energetic amen break for maximum carnage.

BaSys is back with his heaviest and darkest work yet. The next release dropping in a months time on ROOT 2097 called 'Call Of the Depth'.

The promo video is for the track Pain Addict which is loosely inspired by an episode of Charlie Brookers Black Mirror series. This is the first of many seriously heavy tracks from BaSys coming over the next couple of months. Stay tuned....

Nurve's latest EP dropped yesterday and the legend that is Dave Columbo Jenkins said it was his favourite release from us :) Definitely one for the old school/ Golden Era fans. The picture illustrates the first track on the EP 'Who Shook The Jar' and it has a deeper meaning if you read into it.

Release day for Nurve's new Raptus EP, any Golden Era fans, or fans of classic Matrix, Optical, Konflict vibes should check out this EP 😎

If you don't know Nurve / Eleven One One Music / MUD then get to know. Nurve, has been an influential figure in UK music since
1998. He formed the legendary Grime crew Macabre Unit and went on to release classic tracks and EPs as both Demon and Nurve. He then founded the label Macabre Unit Digital. Nurve carried on working on Dubstep and also started to work on his first love, Drum & Bass, where he found himself landing an EP on Function records for the legend, Digital in 2021. This led him to starting his own label 'Eleven One One Music', which has released some incredible music over the past year. Raff is also an instructor in music technology and business with Education & Bass and hosts The Creative Vessel Podcast.

In 7 days time we drop Nurve / Eleven One One Music / MUD's latest EP Raptus. Nurve is one of the few producers pushing a truly golden era type sound which is also bang on the money in terms of modern production quality (He also makes other styles and is one of the most versatile producers we know). Nurve creates some classic vibes with influence from artists such as Optical, Matrix, Konflict mixed in with his own unique style/ sound.

Who Shook The Jar is a Matrix/ Optical style funky roller which also included a deeper meaning with the speech sample at the beginning setting a dystopic tone which is perfect for our current day.

Raptus has a classic Konflict vibe going on, with lots of arrangement changes to keep things fresh, haunting atmospherics float around the main groove adding to the vibe. One for the Headz!

Cold Comfort is the deepest track on the EP and shows off Nurve's mastery of melody and harmony, which he uses to create a piece of music that will stand the test of time. Pulling influence from a variety of UK Bass music from various eras to create something new and fresh.
