Are you tired of feeling blocked when it comes to managing your finances?

In this heart to heart episode, Lauryn and Ryan discuss the concept of being blocked, emotionally and psychologically, when it comes to the financial management of your artistic practice and art business.

These two coaches delve into the intriguing realm of using creative techniques, such as 'being in flow,' as a powerful tool to unblock stress around money management and financial planning.

Ryan shares unique techniques, including the use of multiple bank accounts and automating money flow, which have proven successful in helping artists take charge of their finances and gain long-term clarity over how they spend and save money. Listeners also get an exclusive peek into Ryan's financial advisory business, gaining insights into how his money management program operates.

One notable tool that comes up in the conversation is the art of manifesting. Lauryn and Ryan elaborate on how visualization can help individuals set clear goals and envision possibilities, reinforcing the idea that 'the unmanifested cannot manifest.'

Ryan's personal journey to sobriety and fundamental mindset shift around money in his creative business serve as an inspiration to artists and entrepreneurs alike. His transformation sheds light on the importance of changing our perception of money and looking at it as a flow of energy, neutral and ever-changing, flowing to us and away from us.

This coach-to-coach conversation holds immense value for artists, as it unveils the transformative power of changing one's perception and liberating oneself and creative practice from anxiety surrounding money.

Art Is… a podcast for artists S04 Ep 14: Getting Away from your Ego

🟥 Episode 14: Welcome to this week’s episode of Art Is... a podcast for artists where Cindy Leung, ceramic artist and Artist-in-Residence at Belger Art Center, advises young artists to put aside the ego of Instagram and feel confident in having an online portfolio to passively promote.
Using Instagram as an online portfolio can be intimidating as you compare yourself to other artists. Cindy recommends reframing these negative experiences into positive ones by simply reaching out to the artist and asking how they received an opportunity. She tells us the most effective way to get what you want is to ask for it.
Apart from looking for opportunities, how are young artists able to sell their work? Talking to galleries via email or in person is a thing of the past and e-commerce is leading the way in the art industry. Getting recognized and, even better, liked, is best showcased on–you guessed it–Instagram.
Join Isotta on today’s episode as Cindy Leung talks us through selling artwork passively and actively and how a consumer determines the value of said artwork.
