RECENTLY WROTE TO NEXTDOOR BLOG
To the neighbor who told my daughter to stop cussing, she is allowed to say cuss words but within moderation and in no way in a negative contextual manner such as calling someone a B or D or telling them to F off.
Here is my philosophy so that you may better understand because in this house we are no longer apologizing for being who we are and if that offends anyone well then I'd say you have much to work on inwardly yourself. (1) It is a scientific fact that cussing is an attribute that makes you more intelligent
According to a recent study, if you curse a lot, you're smarter than your clean-mouthed counterparts. The study suggests that "a voluminous taboo lexicon may better be considered an indicator of healthy verbal abilities"1. Studies have shown that swearing may in fact display a more, rather than less, intelligent use of language2. The expression “cursing is the sign of a weak mind and even weaker character” implies that cursing is a form of compensation, but this is not true3.

(2) it makes you more creative, (3) is just the emphasis on the emotion stated within a sentence like an exclamation mark (4) with today's day and age kids are hearing it everywhere eg. music, t.v., social media, movies, other adults. The "do as I say and not as I do" is not much of a motto that supports the motto, "lead by example" now does it? I grew up with relatives that talked like drunk sailors, so I cuss often but try to keep it at a minimum and have some couth about myself. (4) it is another form of slang (5) it is actually proven also that a good shout of "f # # #" can release a huge amount of stress from the body which lessens the chances of disease since stress is the leading cause of disease and death. I'd be happy to educate you on how that works if you would like illuminated. So unless she was calling you a B or doing as other children have done on this block with disregard to their fellow neighbors, threats, property damage etc please just go about your day as if you heard it on the radio because I am a mama bear and will have to stand my ground for my cub. So we're sorry but not sorry you were offended and we hope you can respect our style of living as we do not tell you how to live yours or what to say or not to say for it is your life and as long as you are not negatively effecting ours we wish you love and love and happy travels!
