I THOUGHT I SHOULD SHARE THIS PIECE WITH YOU:
*Common Spiritual Deceptions On Social Media.*
1) *You're the church* - this is actually a smart lie to make believers become comfortable with not going to places of worship.
The truth is that you're not the church but you're part of the church.
The church is the body of Christ and you're part of the body of Christ. ( Eph5:30, 1Cor12:27).
As a Matter of fact, the early church had both cell meetings and temple meetings, so the home churches or cells were not the only meetings they had. Who lied to us? There's power in congregating and this becomes much more powerful when we do it with the purposes of God in mind - raising and releasing kings to go and reign!
2) *Pastors are after your money*- this smart lie is to keep you off your scriptural responsibilities of giving to the work of ministry. *There is no genuine pastor called by God who's after your money. They're after your growth.*
2Cor.12:15- one of the crosses that a pastor must carry according to this passage is that the more they love, the less they're loved. Most pastors have scars of love in their hearts and they still minister love despite their wounds. Can you relate with this? I guess not. Giving is not being robbed. Giving is worship and faith in action. Most people can't see supernatural supplies again because they have yielded to the voice of reason and doubt instead of the voice of faith. I believe you shouldn't be gullible with your resources but at same time, don't be carnal with them. The God you worship is still the same God that asked Abraham for a sacrifice and moved a widow in zarepheth to give to a prophet. Giving is an intricate part of your faith.
3) *God is your Spiritual Father* - lies! Untrue statement! God is your Heavenly Father. He birthed you in Christ. He's a spirit and so are you. Thus, He's the Father of spirits. This we know but He also fathers us through other humans in most cases. Most of you grown up christians have nurtured souls to spiritual maturity. What were you to them? I think that we need to deal with pride and recognize those who labor among us and those through whom we believed or got into ministry. God himself sets men and women over us and their job is clear in Ephesians 4:11-13.
4) *You can do it all by yourself*- Hmm, Jesus said without me, you can do nothing. All through scriptures, we see a dependent relationship between God and His people. Also we see that believers like sheep, do flock together. *Spiritual distancing can be very dangerous. Hebrews 10:24-25. There's something that our togetherness does to our faith.*
5) *All of us are sinners, no one is perfect* - friends, all of us are not sinners, 2Corinthians5:21 tells us that some have been made righteous because of their faith in the redemption that's in Christ. Perfection is not by sinlessness but by faith in the finished works of Christ, which is Grace. We labour to attain perfection by conscious or deliberate obedience to God's word, through the help of Spirit of Grace. .
6) *Miracles are all stage managed* - this is probably the greatest of all deceptions and it's intended to rob you of your faith in the supernatural which will eventually make you ordinary. Christianity and the Bible are nothing without the supernatural. It began supernaturally and continues so. Don't let charlatans destroy your confidence in the moves of the Spirit. The presence of fakes doesn't rule out the reality of the originals. Miracles are real and God works miracles and He still uses humans to do them.
*What more spiritual lies are popular on social media?*
Use your tithe to buy beer etc.... The day you stop being discipled by the voice of the serpent, that's the day you begin to enjoy the garden God placed you in. The church is facing an attack and most believers can't see the signs of war. It's a battle for your soul and don't forget, the enemy is a Long-term planner and the aim is your eternal destiny.
I do hope that the Bible holds more value to you than the voice of men and robots on the internet.
Finally, don't forget that we're in the days called the last days when their will be so much deception but in all, the Holy Spirit in you is the Spirit of truth and He bears witness in your heart. *You can't stay long in a lie if He is in you. Wake up and refuse the baits to hell.
