A good domain name should be:
● Brandable - unique sounding, like nothing else that's out there in the market
● Easy to memorize
● Short - those are also easier to memorize
● Easy to type and hard to mix up - you don't want people to be wondering how to spell your site's name
● Including niche-related keywords - for instance, if you do anything with pizza, it would be cool to have "pizza" somewhere in the name of the site

1- Instagram is taking the next steps in its effort to better protect younger users, in line with coming regulatory changes, by asking all users who’ve not previously entered their date of birth to do so in the app.
2- Following Twitter’s decision to abandon its social stories project ‘Fleets’ last month, LinkedIn is now also moving away from its LinkedIn Stories experiment.
3- Twitter has officially launched its new ‘Super Follow’ option, with selected creators in the US now able to charge a monthly fee for exclusive, extra tweet content for their biggest fans.
4- Google confirmed that it completed the page experience update rollout today. This includes the updates to the Top Stories carousel on mobile search but the Google News app changes won’t be done for a week
5-LinkedIn added a new ‘Skills Path’ option for on-platform job listings, which essentially enables employers to add additional tests to help more candidates display their suitability for a role.

1- As part of its ongoing effort to improve Stories interaction, Instagram is changing how external links are shared within Stories frames, with the current 'Swipe up' links to be removed from the process entirely, and replaced by its new 'Link' sticker option instead.
2- With the Paralympics beginning this week, Twitter has announced a new set of features to help users engage with the event, and follow along with the latest updates.
3- Twitter is launching a new test that will show you when someone that you follow on Twitter is listening in to a Space, by highlighting that broadcast at the top of your timeline.
4- Snapchat has announced a new update for its Scan tools, which will provide more ways to use the Snap Camera to discover additional insights, and facilitate more direct actions based on what you see
5- YouTube is looking to take its presence to the next level with the opening of its new YouTube Theater for business, a 6,000 seat performance venue, located in Inglewood, California, where it plans to host a variety of live entertainment events.
6- The info hub features various elements and includes detailed overviews of exactly how clubs and rooms work, and how you can get involved in each.
7- After testing the option out with selected users over the past couple of months, Twitter has announced that it’s opening up Ticketed Spaces to more users, providing another way for creators to make money from their on-platform efforts.

Social Media Updates this week (09-August-2021 to 15-August-2021)

1- Instagram is launching the next element in its eCommerce push, with a new test of promoted products on the Shop tab in the app.

2- LinkedIn quietly rolled out a new, native video option within its messaging platform, which provides another way to connect with users, without the need to download a separate video app.

3- The new option would enable you to simply remove a follower if you choose, which would stop them from seeing your tweets - though they could still look you and your tweets up in the app, and re-follow you again if they choose.

4- Instagram has added the capacity to search for audio specifically within the search tab in the app, making it easier to tap into trends based on music clips, with a focus on Reels creation based on the same.

5- YouTube has today confirmed that dark mode for YouTube Studio on the web is now available to all users.In addition to this, YouTube has also launched a new 'Hashtag Autocomplete Suggestions' option within the video upload process.

6- Twitter has added a new raised hand emoji feature, available to Spaces speakers, hosts and co-hosts, which enables speakers to signal that they have something to add to the discussion, without interrupting the chat.

7- Reddit is the latest cab off the short-form video ranks, with the platform looking to maximize the rising interest in video on the platform by implementing its own TikTok-esque feed of short video clips, aligned with specific user interests based on the subreddits that they follow in the app.

8- Twitter's currently testing a new option that would enable Spaces hosts to add topic tags to their Space, helping to maximize reach.
