Something I wish I had understood before adoption.

The nature vs. nurture theory is a longstanding debate in psychology and other fields. It centers around the relative influence of genetic factors (nature) versus environmental experiences (nurture) in shaping human traits, behaviors, and development. While both factors play essential roles, understanding their interplay helps us appreciate the complexity of human nature. 🌿🔬

Ever pondered about fostering? Did you know there are many other facets in which you can be used? The Guardian Ad Litem program are court appointed individuals who work as a liason between you and the courts. They are volunteer workers who dedicate long and unpaid hours to protect our state's most vulnerable gems. I can honestly tell you without this lady, I don't think I'd have made it through this process. She's been promoted from GAL to Nana. We love you ClareBear.

It was 3 years TODAY since Zach and Daya were left on my doorstep, Zach bruised and beaten. Thanksgiving Eve, we rushed him to the hospital. Surrounded by police and dcf, we were asked if we could keep them. We came home Thanksgiving day and I specifically told them people I could only do this for 2 weeks while they find a foster home. My kids were teens and I was finally free. See how God work? I don't like to share these photos but when I look at my boy, I can only be grateful that God chose me to love and protect them. The pic of him smiling is Thanksgiving Day, 2017. Seeing him smile after whatever he endured just the day before bought tears to my eyes. Im reminded in this season of so many things I have fo be grateful for.
