Join us for the second part of The which occurred in 2010, when thirty-three miners were trapped after a 770,000 ton chunk of the BROKE OFF and fell into the mine.

It took the owners of the mine more than an excusable amount of time to alert authorities to the . When emergency response teams eventually went into the , they were confronted with a monumental task - drill through more than a half a mile of extremely tough, rock in as short a time as possible.

Added to that, no-one knows if there were any because there was no way to contact them. And any surviving , equally, had no way of contacting the surface. At this point, it was a guessing game for miners and rescuers alike.
