I recently transitioned from Meta Creator Studio to Meta Business Suite to plan & schedule content for all of my clients.

My thoughts?

Game changer...

Meta Business Suite seems to be more of a smooth process, being able to post simultaneously to FB & IG, with the customise post button available too. It's personally saved me so much time.

Being able to visually see my posts scheduled on both platforms, throughout the whole month gives me clarity that I haven't missed anything and keeps me on track with my content scheduling.

Absolutely love it & would recommend it to anyone in the same field to give it a go if you haven't transitioned already.

What a year 2022 was.. ✨

Reflecting on the goals I set for myself, personal & career, I can say I stayed on track throughout most of the year.

It's definitely hard when you don't exactly know the direction you want to head towards.

It's for this reason, I set goals and constantly revisit them and question their value of them, and if they're still relevant for me.

Research has shown time and time again that you are more likely to achieve your goals if you write them down.

Last year, I wrote them in my notes on my phone and displayed them on my home page as a widget, so I saw them every single day.

~ Follow your passions and do things with purpose and intent.

~ If you want something bad enough, find the discipline within you to achieve it.

~ Share your goals with people around you, so they can help keep you accountable.

~ Don't be disheartened if you get to the end of the year and you didn't quite hit the goals you wanted to... reflect on why & change the behaviour if those goals are still relevant.

Distracted by personal notifications while working on your personal device? SAME.
A study has shown it takes an average of 23 minutes and 15 seconds to get back to the task after being interrupted. Let that sink in..

A lot of my friends ask me how I stay focused, and to be completely honest, I'm absolutely rubbish at staying on track.

Things that do help me, however, are:
✅ Weekly Lists
✅ Daily To Do's
✅ 'On The Hour' Notifications
✅ DO NOT DISTURB mode
✅ Coffee ☕️ (+ MCT)
✅ Regular Breaks (50 mins on, 10 mins off)
✅ Task rotation

I disappeared for a little bit - oops.
I've been working hard behind the scenes, trying to grow this lil biz.

I'll admit it, my social presence has lacked recently and as a small business owner, i'm sure a lot of other people in similar stages can agree. When you get busy, marketing/social media is not on top of your list.

Say no more! If you haven’t tried any of these tips they’re worth it!

1 - The rule is simple, the more people you reach the more you grow.
2 - Did you know there are people who watch stories, but don't stoll through the feed. That's why it's super important to share your posts to your stories to increase your reach & interactions.
3 - People are more likely to do something if you ask, + your posts will be getting brand new exposure and seen by new eyeballs!
4 - Collabs can increase your reach up to 3x, and you can also convert to new followers!
5 - Have you ever wondered why there are so many different formats? e.g. reels, stories, lives etc. That's because they want you to use them! Instagram will always rewards creators that try their new updates & features.

Don’t forget that reach on Instagram also has ups and downs and that’s completely fine!

A: It's really up to you!⁠⁠
I will often give you advice on what you should be doing on your social platforms based on my experience and research, but know that what works for one won't always work for the others, so always be sure to try things for yourself and look at your results!⁠⁠

I have personally tried using 8 - 12 and found it did not benefit my clients accounts and their engagement was much higher when we returned to using the full 30 hashtags. But that is not to say that you may find your results vary from ours.⁠⁠

I challenge you to explore what works best for you! Plan your content for 2 weeks using 8 - 12 hashtags, and then change to the full 30 and compare your hashtag views on the different posts. ⁠⁠

Here’s How..

We have devices, phones, social media, and apps to fill the empty space. However, studies show the benefits of boredom. A bit of boredom increases creativity.

Boredom has the ability to enable our creative thinking by moving us into a state of daydream, which then allows our minds to wander and create without distractions

I know you’re busy but I also know you’re wasting your time on IG…

So here’s what you should do:  

1. Batch your content at least 1 week ahead - this will allow you to stay consistent

2. When creating your posts, no need to reinvent the wheel every time! Use templates to help you out.

3. Don’t overdo it! Consistency over quantity. I’d rather you post twice a week for a year than 6 times per week for 1 month.

4. Keep on your feed ONLY the accounts you want to engage with, mute all the others. This will allow you to avoid wasting time scrolling 😅

5. Engage ONLY with competitors or accounts that have the same ideal clients as you, this is by far the best way to get noticed and avoid wasting your time engaging with random people who don’t care about you.

IG feeds, important? YES.
One element that I haven't spoken about yet is filler photos or the "breakers" on your feed.

𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚊𝚛𝚎 𝚏𝚒𝚕𝚕𝚎𝚛 𝚙𝚑𝚘𝚝𝚘𝚜?
Filler photos serve as images that act as "breakers" to space out important posts. They usually feature random objects or anything that looks . Filler photos also prevent your followers from getting "umay" of seeing your typical posts. They also help produce a smooth transition from one pic to another when you want to change the theme or colour scheme of your feed.

My job is to create content calendars for clients, help them capture the content and schedule it ready to post and engage with their target market.

If you're lacking inspiration, ideas or even just time - it's worth investing in someone to help with the creation of your social media platform than to keep ignoring it and pushing down on the 'to do' list.
