6 months in our CUSTOM BUILT @wonderroocaravans 🙌 Custom building can be an intimidating and time consuming process but we’re running through some of our best decisions in the build process as well as what we’d change on YouTube - see link to FULL VIDEO in Bio and our story 👆
The team at Wonder Roo do it all in house and it made it super easy to make our new van not only perfect for us but also perfect for everywhere we want to travel… check it out! And like and subscribe 😉

The way the ranger told us… crocodiles have low clearance - they’re like sports cars. So when the water is hemmed in completely by rocks, they just ram into the rock and can’t get in. That was enough for Justin and we deemed it safe for our kids but Carissa was still picturing her morning on the Yellow Water Billabong.
Little known FACT: Kakadu NP is actually inhabited by Estuarine crocs (not ‘salties’). But they’re still man-eating 🫠
What would you do? 🐊🙅♀️ #kakadunationalpark #northernterritory #magukfalls #yellowwaterbillabong #jimjimfalls @ntaustralia @kakadutourism @seekakadu @parksandwildlifent
Loads of places in the NT are declared safe for swimming but sometimes it just feels a little ‘croccy’ regardless… doesn’t help when you spot a salty trap walking in to a swimming spot 🙈🐊
It’s also HIGHLY likely even when it’s safe to swim, there’s freshwater crocs in there. Would you swim here?
We LOVED Litchfield NP - this is a combo of Florence and Wangi Falls #northernterritory #litchfield #litchfieldnationalpark #florencefalls #wangifalls
Gorge hikes on the Gibb (and how we got through them with kids)
Snacks, bribes and snacks. Oh and friends! That’s the real key. Kids hiking in a big group of kids (that aren’t their siblings 😅) tend to not whinge as much in our experience.
We were blessed to have a huge tribe on the Gibb and the kids all did amazingly - Manning Gorge in particular was over 5km and a long way for little legs. But with a bestie by your side and some lollies waiting at the van… we did it 🙌
Watch right to the end for our absolute favourite (and the only one we did without kiddos - maybe there’s a correlation there 😉)
SAVE for your trip on the #gibbriverroad
The best thing you can possibly read in the fine print as you check into the first caravan park post GRR… here we go 🙌 🧼🫧✨ @protection_brands @wonderroocaravans #wonderroocaravans
GRR road update (24/7) Home Valley-El Questro and onto Kununurra… mostly bitumen but holy that bit from Home Valley to the Pentecost would be enough to make you question your life choices if you start the Gibb in that direction 😅
It’s 16km of heavily corrugated road with big rocks poking up out of nowhere. The river crossing itself was the easy bit!
Coming into El Q the highest water crossing is a bit of fun but no snorkel required on our dates. They’ve also just reopened El Questro Gorge for the season after putting some new base in the crossing so it was sitting pretty at 400 🤌 #gibbriverroad @wonderroocaravans @cruisemastercountry @gusto_global_industries #wonderroocaravans
Are you Inland or Coastal? I love a beach but there’s nothing like the gorges, waterfalls, fires, swims and bush camps of inland Australia 💦 #gibbriverroad
1 - Manning Gorge
2 - Galvans Gorge
3 - Manning campground swim beach

Gibb River Road prep COMPLETE. We actually did some of the Gibb from Broome last year so you could say we’re somewhat efficient at getting to this point… here’s hoping we get all the way across this time!
Our full prep video is now up on YOUTUBE (check the link in our bio or story). We’d also love you to subscribe for the next (and hopefully best) part of the story.
LET’S GO! #gibbriverroad @wonderroocaravans #wonderroocaravans
Possibly one of the most important Gibb prep jobs! Getting the DRS ready for the hundreds of kms of DUST!!
We had thought we’d need a new filter but a quick call with Nat @gusto_global_industries and we found out you can actually wash the filter on this and it’s good as new 🤯 Another tick on the list ☑️ #gibbriverroad #offroadcaravan @wonderroocaravans
The dirt IS red up here and there IS a lot of it but we definitely shouldn’t have left it this long… this is your sign to go clean your aircon filters immediately 🤢🧼 I find this weirdly satisfying 😅 @nce_rv_specialist @wonderroocaravans #campingwiththemorgans

All those custom build design choices we had are worth their weight in gold now we’re living it - our red tinged timber floor is the best decision we ever made 👌 Even better… we can’t see sand/dirt/hair/fluff when we need to sweep either 🙌🙌 #wonderroocaravans @wonderroocaravans #campingwiththemorgans

Pender Bay. Our #1 all-time fav… 2 years in a row. We spent another week here and could still turn around and go back! Watching whales and dolphins shelter in the bay, the sun coming up over the water everyday, exploring the red cliffs and caves, spotting little sharks off the point (thankfully no crocs), early morning workouts on the beach and cooking on the fire everyday. Thank goodness we actually had one windy morning on our very last day - the only remotely unfavourable weather in all our time - it made us feel somewhat ok about saying goodbye.
Not sure anywhere will ever top Pender Bay Escape and made even more special catching up with friends!

Spend a day touring the Djarindjin Community with us. Bundy lead our group, teaching us many things over 6 hours including how to live on the country and look after it 🌴🦀
He put it so perfectly… if we look after the land, the land will look after us.
What an incredible honour and privilege ☀️ #campingwiththemorgans @australiasnorthwest #australiasnorthwest @adventuring_wild_

The first of our Gibb prep series… If you’ve been following for a while, you’ll know last year we had 5 days of rain on the Gibb River Road 🤯 We’re getting ready for our second attempt in a couple of weeks and doing some mods, preps and purchases to make sure everything is ready to rock.
First up! We recently bought a genie for those overcast days or sites under trees (because we know it DOES rain in the dry season 😅🙈). And we actually learnt something new about chargers in the process!! We’ve got a 180 amp charger which means we can use the genie to charge back to full pretty darn quick… we love it but we reckon our site neighbours might love it more 😉🙌 @projecta.au @wonderroocaravans #wonderroocaravans
The red cliffs meet the white sand and the blue waters. We’re stoked to be back in the NORTH WEST! Barnhill Station sits on top of our list but if you’re longing for the colours of the Pindan check out…
📍Barnhill
📍Pender Bay
📍James Price Point
📍Roebuck Bay
📍Quondong Point
Got any others? We love a good gem and this region is filled! Bring on the better part of the next month up here 💃🧡 🌊
SAVE for your trip up North 😉 @australiasnorthwest #campingwiththemorgans #australiasnorthwest
Some of the best sights are the ones we see as the sun comes up, experiencing places at a slower pace with music and a sweat up. It’s not huge but I’m proud… as of today I’ve run 163.6km around Australia this year!
Bring on another 6 months and the other half of the country @brooksrunningau #campingwiththemorgans #runninginaustralia
REALLY testing our DRS mate out now. Absolutely zero dust on bench tops/bedding/or any surfaces. Jus pulled the vent off and got a teeny smear from the actual inside of the system but we were really digging around… that road from Cheela Plains into Tom Price was a cracker 🙌

Hiking Karijini with young kids can be a bit challenging but was so incredibly rewarding. Thankfully most of the walks we did were quite short in distance (despite the level of difficulty) and can only be described as ‘fun’ because they’re such adventures!
The longest we did was a Class 4 3km but we had a whole tribe along… always helps to keep the kids motivated.
Unfortunately what’s unhelpful is the comments we received from other people on the trails. Although a couple were very positive and encouraging, I lost count of the number of people who sort of had digs at us as they passed. Everything from “what’s this, a kindergarten?” to “there goes the serenity” and “good luck getting up the rock stairs with them”.
Our kids are absolutely incredible and in Mac’s words “smashing” out these super hard hikes. We couldn’t be prouder of them and all they have been able to experience… just could do without the peanut gallery putting in their 2 bobs
SAVE for your visit to Karijini with young kids
Cheers for the company @adventuring_wild_ @calledtoadventure_aus
