Looking back at my visit to Lisbon, Portugal.

All I experienced was new as this was my introduction to Europe and specifically Lisbon, Portugal.

imo I was grateful for the folks (our group) interacted with and appreciated the hospitality. I am reminded how we in Hawaii are also generally welcoming, patient, and helpful with folks who travel through our islands...our brief points of contact can be meaningful both ways 😊

Then I went to a church and ate ice cream at the edge of Tagus River near the Commerce Plaza.

I bought my ticket for Aloha Friday, October 18, 2024 for Kathy Griffin's "My Life on the PTSD-List" at Hawaii Theatre AND she's starting at 8pm sharp!

No opening act and...you can take a listen to hear a bit about how she keeps grounded and how she remembers her earliest comedy starts (yes! I totally remember her as a funny actor though I didn't realize that stand up comedy was after she'd been establishing herself with the Groundlings...)

I didn’t know I would have been missing out until I went through my memory cards 🤣 a version of me would be kicking me hahaha


Cheeses, dry meats, bread, and jelly though do it in Lisbon under an overcast sky with gentle rains near Rossio Square📍this was ready for us at Manteigaria Silva

…let’s then walk one block or so to 📍Saint Dominic Church…

This was maybe ten minutes of one of the walking tours of Lisbon - eating and marveling at architecture - and we ate well. I already miss it!

That time I wish I had a telefoto lens…to take a picture of a wandering cat 🐈‍⬛

This one cruised by a motorcycle and cased the alley. They noticed me crouching down then waited and waited.

When I put my camera down and picked up my phone, it jumped up onto a windowsill and stepped into the open window!

About ten seconds later, they slipped out and glided through the air, landing softly on the cobblestone street, walking on like…
