Private Firefighters provided by insurance companies were on-scene of the Hawarden fire in Riverside.
Wildfire Defense Systems, Inc. were on-scene of the Hawarden Fire in Riverside yesterday. WDS provides services to the insurance industry at a wildfire agency-level scale. Hawarden Fire in Riverside. Forward progress has stopped at 482 acres, per incident command. Crews continue with mop up and structure protection. They will be committed through the night and tomorrow.

CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department is on-scene of a vegetation fire near Flint Street in Lake Elsinore. Forward rate if spread has been stopped. Additional resources have been canceled. The Incident Commander states the fire is one acre.
Deputy Walker from the Riverside County Sheriff's Office was seen telling CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department Public Information Officer Tawny Castro she had to move her vehicle while she was on-scene of a vegetation fire.
CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department is on-scene of a an outside fire involving vegetation and structures on Roche Lane in Menifee. The IC reports that the forward rate of spread has been stopped.
VEGETATION FIRE - Reported at 3:34 p.m. Lukens Lane/Metz Road in unincorporated Perris. CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department responded to a 18 acre vegetation fire burning in light grass at a moderate rate of spread with a structure threat. #LukensFIRE @RivCoNow
Structure Fire In Lake Elsinore
At 3:57am CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department and Lake Elsinore Sheriff's Station responded to a structure fire on Pepper Drive in Lake Elsinore. Dispatch updated firefighters enroute that they were receiving multiple reports that there was a fire and that there was a person inside the structure yelling for help. A neighbor was able to help the homeowner get out. The first arriving fire engine, engine 11 reported that the structure fire was on Bonnie Lea Drive and assumed then assumed the Bonnie IC.
The IC sent the next in engine, engine 85 to Pepper Drive to help contain the fire from exposures on the back of the residence, so the fire would extend the another home. More firefighters arrived and they were able to quickly knock down the fire. The person inside the home was transported to the hospital by ground transport. Some of the animals inside did not survive.
On Sunday 6/23/2024 at 8:54pm CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department and CHP - Temecula were dispatched to a vehicle over the side on South Main Divide near the Morgan Trailhead. Firefighters were able to find the vehicle. Luckily the driver had sustained very minor injuries and was able to hike out of the canyon unassisted and declined transport to the hospital.
Alcohol was not a factor.
The City of Lake Elsinore is promoting Launchpoints Calisplash at the same time they are throwing up signs warning swimmers of the dangers of swimming in Lake Elsinore because of all the algae stating “toxins from algae in this water can harm people and kill animals.”

Fire in Cleveland National Forest.
CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department, Lake Elsinore Sheriff's Station, and U.S. Forest Service - Cleveland National Forest are on-scene of a vegetation fire in the Cleveland National Forest near the intersection of Tetterington Street and Hayes Ave in Lakeland Village. Firefighters were dispatched at 3:37pm. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
Gun Shot Victim at Shoreline Apartments
At 9:39pm CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department and Lake Elsinore Sheriff's Station responded to a person with a gun wound and in Cardiac Arrest at the Shoreline Apartments on Grand Ave in Lake Elsinore.

Structure Fire Into The Vegetation in Perris.
At 4:07pm CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department and Canyon Lake Fire Department responded to a structure fire into the vegetation on Telford Ave in Perris.
At 4:21 1/4 acre in grass with a Moderate rate of spread and a potential for 5 acres. Multiple structures threatened - per unit at scene.
At 4:24 pm the fire ismaking a run with multiple structures threatened. 10 additional engines requested - per Incident Command
At 4:37 the fire is approx 2 to 2.5 acres with a slow rate of spread. Fire is burning around multiple abandoned outbuildings and vehicles with 2 structures being impacted. Localized evacuations taking place on Anderson St - per Incident Command.
At 7:24 the fire is 2 acres & is now fully contained per CAL FIRE Riverside. Firefighters will be on scene for mop-up and overhaul operations.

Major Accident
At 3:32pm CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department responded to a head-on traffic accident involving multiple vehicles at the intersection of Collier Ave and Central Ave. Collier was shut down for about an hour so the Lake Elsinore Sheriff's Station could perform their investigation.
