What do I do to teach that other teachers don't do?

One strategy stands out: The Mutual Storytelling Technique.

A simple strategy that take almost zero preparation and engages students.

The basic technique: Students recite a story, and the teacher retells the story with slight, more adaptive changes to the story line or action.

Or, take a fable as the initial story.

Great editors seem rare. But "Tell-it-Like-it-is" editors rarer still.

Why don't editors; tell authors, "Learn to write"?

Writers waste time and money sending first, second or third drafts to editors.

"Tell-it-Like-it-is" editors advise when a manuscript lacks sales potential, or stands little chance of recouping editing costs.

Run-of-the-Mill editors take the writer's money, and put ribbons and bows on pablum, drivel or dregs.

Rules represent a "Ticket to Play," and authors need to master rules prior to breaking them. Big difference between, "Author knows the reason for breaking the rule," vs. "Rule-Blind, Wanna-be Writer breaks multiple rules because that's how they think and talk."

Think of editors as "Good Friends," who tell authors when spinach sticks to their teeth, or when the back of their dress gets caught in the bottom of their panties.

Want to work with a top-tier editor? W**d, mow and trim the garden of your writing; instead of sending clippings and twigs to editors. :-)
