The jet-setting president is at it again.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is set to spend his 66th birthday in Singapore for the 10th Asia Summit and the finals of the Singapore Grand Prix 2023.

According to a Malacañang press release, the president will speak at Milken Institute’s 10th Asian conference on Sept. 13, speaking about the administration’s “efforts in improving lives of Filipinos amid challenges from significant global events.”

In addition, Marcos will also meet with business leaders while in Singapore.

He’ll be in the country until Sept. 17 to attend the 2023 Formula One Singapore Grand Prix at the invitation of Prime Minister Lee Hsien. Since assuming office in 2022, Marcos has not yet missed an F1 race in Singapore.

In October 2022, he was spotted watching the grand prix with his son Ilocos Norte 1st District Rep. Sandro Marcos and cousin House Speaker Martin Romualdez. This trip was criticized by the public as it wasn’t made official and it happened during the aftermath of Super Typhoon Karding.

The trip will be Marcos’ third to Singapore and ninth international trip for 2023.

Marcos is turning 66 this Sept. 13 and recently celebrated his late dictator father’s 106th birth anniversary. The president said he will “use everything” he learned from Marcos Sr. to “continue [his] work.” While the dictator’s supporters might deem it a “golden age,” Ferdinand Marcos Sr.’s martial law is deemed a dark chapter in Philippine history by historians and critics due to the extensive human rights abuses during the regime.
