Film review: DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE

So the personified cabinet of curiosities of namely DEADPOOL has been given a third installment and thus a first film in the MCU. Filled to the brim with smutty jokes and MARVEL jokes and its obscure plot and glorification of violence, the movie is, interestingly enough, exactly what the devastated MCU needs right now. I don't want to reveal any more about the plot at this point. EMMA CORRIN gives a very successful CASSANDRA NOVA, as a comic fan could only wish for, and practically everyone else slips back into their old roles and fills them as well as ever, as if they had never played anything else in the meantime. The effects are at the highest level typical of the MCU, even if the 3D only serves as copy protection again. Picture, sound and staging, all flawless and I'm certainly no fan of director SHAWN LEVY, but here, for me at least, only the signature of RYAN REYNOLDS is recognizable. This most sophisticated DEADPOOL film to date even surpasses Part 1 in a completely unexpected way and is a tribute to comics and comic book adaptations in several ways. So DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE gets 5 out of 5 possible songs from me that will never sound the same to me again.

Filmkritik: DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE

Das personifizierte Kuriositätenkabinett von nämlich DEADPOOL hat also einen dritten Teil und damit einen ersten Film im MCU erhalten. Der Film ist, randvoll mit schweinischen Witzen und MARVEL-Scherzen und seiner obskuren Handlung und Gewaltverherrlichung, interessanterweise genau das, was das am Boden liegende MCU jetzt braucht. Mehr möchte ich über die Handlung an dieser Stelle auch nicht verraten. EMMA CORRIN gibt eine sehr gelungene CASSANDRA NOVA, wie man sie sich als Comic-Fan nur wünschen kann, praktisch fast alle anderen schlüpfen wieder in ihre alte Rolle und füllen diese bekanntermaßen, so gut wie eh und je als hätten sie in der Zwischenzeit nie etwas anders gespielt. Die Effekte sind MCU-typisch auf höchstem Niveau wenn auch das 3D wieder nur als Kopierschutz dient. Bild, Ton und Inszenierung, alles astrein und ich bin wahrlich kein Fan von Regisseur SHAWN LEVY, aber hier ist, für mich zumindest, nur die Handschrift von RYAN REYNOLDS zu erkennen. Dieser raffinierteste DEADPOOL-Film bisher, überflügelt sogar Teil 1 auf eine völlig unerwartete Weise und ist auf mehrere Arten eine Verneigung vor Comics und Comicverfilmungen. So erhält DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE von mir 5 von 5 möglichen Songs die für mich nie wieder so klingen werden wie vorher.

NEWS: Do you still remember the series 24? Producer BRIAN GRAZER said in June that he was working on a movie adaptation with 20th CENTURY. Unnamed sources have now informed VARIETY that this project has gained further momentum. However, nothing is yet known about the plot or the actors. IMHO, KIEFER SUTHERLAND should return to his role as JACK BAUER to make it relevant.

NEWS: Erinnert ihr euch noch an die Serie(n) 24? Produzent BRIAN GRAZER sprach im Juni darüber, dass er mit 20th CENTURY an einer Filmadaption arbeite. Unbenannte Quellen haben nun VARIETY darüber informiert, dass dieses Projekt weiter an Fahrt aufgenommen habe. Noch ist aber weder etwas zur Handlung, noch zu den Schauspielern bekannt. IMHO sollte KIEFER SUTHERLAND in seine Rolle als JACK BAUER zurückkehren, um den ganzen Relevanz zu geben.

NEWS: If you don't look closely at this picture, you might think GLEN POWELL is going to a fire engine. This will soon become a reality, because as he has now revealed in an interview about TWISTERS (pictured), he is involved in the remake of one of the biggest firefighting films in the USA: BACKDRAFT! As with the original, BRIAN GRAZER will be the producer. IMHO we can only hope that they find a director who likes practical effects, because that's what made the original so special.

NEWS: Wer bei diesem Bild nicht genau hinsieht, könnte denken, GLEN POWELL geht hier zu einem Feuerwehrauto. Das wird schon bald Realität werden, denn wie er nun bei einem Interview bezüglich TWISTERS (Bild) verraten hat, ist er bei dem Remake eines der größten Feuerwehrfilme der USA involviert: BACKDRAFT! Produzent wird wie beim Original BRIAN GRAZER sein. IMHO bleibt nur zu hoffen, dass sie einen Regisseur finden, der auf Practical-Effekts steht, denn das hat dass Original schließlich ausgemacht.

NEWS: According to the HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, brothers ANTHONY and JOE RUSSO better known as the Great RUSSO brothers are in talks with MARVEL STUDIOS to return for the next two AVENGERS films. They have directed the successful MARVEL films: CAPTAIN AMERICA: WINTERSOLDIER and CIVIL WAR as well as the AVENGERS films: INFINITY WAR and ENDGAME. IMHO we will probably find out what the story is really about on the 27th at the SAN DIEGO COMIC CON, where the big MARVEL panel is taking place again this year.

NEWS: Laut dem HOLLYWOOD-REPORTER sind die Brüder ANTHONY und JOE RUSSO besser bekannt als die Regie-Größen-RUSSO-Brüder, mit MARVEL-STUDIOS im Gespräch, um für die nächsten beiden AVENGERS-Filme zurückzukehren. Sie haben bei den erfolgreichen MARVEL Filmen: CAPTAIN AMERICA: WINTERSOLDIER und CIVIL WAR sowie bei den AVENGERS-Filmen: INFINITY WAR und ENDGAME Regie geführt.
