After 32 days under incommunicado detention and following the fixing of another hearing of the habeas corpus application in court for Friday, Kavuma Jamushid and the three other people he was taken with have been dumped at Old Kampala Police Station! I just spoke with him and he confirmed that he was shot through the leg as he was being abducted. Our legal team is following up, but for now, they have been told that they are being charged with "malicious damage to property and obstruction"! While we thank God that these comrades are still alive, we must all condemn and do everything we can to put an end to this lawlessness with impunity.

We met with leaders of the NUP Chapter in Kenya to appreciate them for the job well done of organising the Human Rights Conference that took place two days ago, and to lay strategies for consolidating the Chapter, considering the strategic importance of Kenya in our struggle against misrule.

I once again remind all of us that we have no right or justification to give up on the struggle for which many of our comrades have already paid a heavy price.

It is now more than a week. One of president Bobi Wine security guards Kavuma Jamushid is no where to be seen. He was abducted by the state security operatives and was allegedly shot while being taken into a drone. It is a demand that in what would be called a democratic country, all political prisoners should he released. Kavuma should be released or brought to court incase he committed any crime.

Last night at the Koninklijk Theater Carré, one of Amsterdam's biggest Theatre Halls, our documentary was watched by hundreds of people. It was such a humbling experience to see the love and solidarity! I am glad that through this film, the world is getting to understand the criminal enterprise which rules over our country. Everywhere the film has premiered it is received with shock and dismay. This film is especially about the sacrifices so many comrades and friends continue to make in our quest for a better nation. I am optimistic that our struggle will end in victory!

We spent the day in Kigulu South Constituency, Iganga District on the invitation of Hon. Andrew Kiiza Kaluya who officially joined the National Unity Platform today. I was with Hon. Kaluya in Parliament and I have always known him to be a leader who believes in certain values and has good rapport with the people. I am not surprised that he has decided to join us in this cause for liberation.

I am very grateful to the people of Busoga for such a warm reception. They braved a heavy downpour to listen to our message of hope. I used the opportunity to yet again charge our people to position themselves and fight for the future of our country. I reminded the leaders and people of Busoga that the only way they can put an end to the sickening poverty is to end military rule and establish a society which avails equal opportunities to its citizens.

A few months back, our brother Amon Kitamirike nearly lost his life while going to cover our campaigns in Omoro District as a journalist. Although we lost two of our comrades, Amon and comrade Nusifa Nakato were grossly affected by the accident. Today is his birthday. Alongside our President Bobi Wine and other leaders, we located him, cut cake with him and congratulated him on making another year. Very glad that he has made very good progress in terms of his health. A very happy birthday to you Amon. Praying for a full recovery.

They are super grateful to the National Unity Platform and everyone who has supported the effort to return them home. We spent part of the day in Wobulenzi, Luwero District where we went to check on Mzee Hajj Abdul Nadduli and deliver our condolences over the loss of his son and our comrade, Jakaana Suleiman Nadduli. It was exceedingly sad to see the pain this old man and his household are going through, well knowing that Jakaana's untimely death falls squarely on the hands of a regime he helped bring to power. May our brother's soul rest in peace.
