In line with our Governors agenda to make sure that all pending but eligible bills are paid,the department of Infrastructure today held a consultative meeting with Contractors and suppliers to discuss their performance review for the recently awarded projects.

The meeting which was attended by CEC Michael Kamau(Infrastructure),CEC Stephen Njogu(Finance and Economic planning and Chief Office,Kennedy Mugo(Roads and Transport)highlighted the Contractors recent performance that have led to delays in completion of roads projects.

Engineer Michael in his brief address outlined how the County government has every goodwill to pay Suppliers on time so as to deliver quality works towards improving the road.

The contractors promised to mobilize their teams to fix problem areas ahead of works to make the roads motorable on time.

The CECM for Finance and Economic Planning, Hon Stephen Iribe Njogu today attended a church service at PCEA Mwigito, in Njoro Ward, Njoro Sub County, and later represented HE Governor Susan Kihika in a sadaka maalum towards replacing the church's roof at the invitation of the area MCA Hon Hezekiah Kungu.

He used the opportunity to share Gov Susan Kihika's desire to ensure every part of the county gets an equitable share of development. He said Her Excellency Susan Kihika has elevated two towns, Njoro and Mau Narok, in to Municipalities, with an allocation of 20m in the next budget.

On matters health, The Governor instructed the department of health to operationalize Mwigito Dispensary whose construction had stalled and noted that now residents get the services closer home. The Governor has also allocated 50m to complete Njoro Sub County hospital in the coming financial year.

The CECM also informed the congregants that Njoro has been allocated 200 units in the affordable housing projects with more in the pipeline. The County Government is also working with national government to establish an Export Processing Zone/Industrial Park near Egerton University.

To spur economic activity in the County, the CECM said, Her Excellency the Governor has ordered the settlement of pending bills worth 1.5bn shillings. He implored the Church to continue praying for Her Excellency and Her government as she roles out her plan for the County.

The service was officiated by Rev Nancy.

He was accompanied by The Political Advisor in the office of the Governor, Hon Joseph Kibore Rutto, CO Kuria Kimani (Urban Planning) and Njoro Sub County Admin Julius Nyata.

Also present were the area MP Hon Charity Kathambi, MCAs Hon Cyrus Dida (Mau Narok Ward), Hon Simon Karanja (Kihingo Ward), Hon Njuguna Mwangi (Elburgon Ward) Hon John Mwangi (Turi Ward), and Hon Philip Wanjohi (Lare Ward/Minority Leader).

Yesterday was yet another day of progressive engagement between *CECM for finance* and *economic planning* and *Piave vision group.*

The Honourable CECM who visited the group in Njoro promised to fund the youth in their respective projects so as to be at the frontline on matters economic empowerment as compared to their other peers.

Others youth groups present were *kasuni group, admin njoro tujuane* and *Pambo radio youth group* who have their own *media platform* which they requested for *support for taking their communication channel to the next level by having a modern studio.*

We also thank the area Chief for being present .

Residents of Rhoda Ward have been victims of flooding especially during heavy rains. My administration is determined to make this unfortunate occurrence a thing of the past through the construction of a heavy-duty drainage system.

The project is 70% complete and will solve the flooding menace around Mbugua and Mbugua all the way to Mwariki Secondary School. It will be complete by the end of August 2023.S Iribe Njogu

*WHY CECM STEPHEN IRIBE NJOGU IS A RARE GEM IN GOVERNOR SUSAN KIHIKA'S CABINET .*

In every *organization* or *department* , there is that one person that is normally regarded as the *vision carrier* or *the wind beneath the wings of an establishment .*

*Hon Stephen Iribe Njogu , Nakuru County CECM for Finance* and *Economic planning* is the *undisputed cog / fulcrum* that has given our people *optism*, that ours is more than a county of *infinite opportunities and potential.*

*Governor Susan* must have seen far when she appointed *Hon Stephen Iribe in this important docket of finance and Economic planning.*

In keeping up with her campaign promise(s) of *clearing all credible pending bills* , it is gopd to articulate that *Hon Iribe is delivering this critical and important promise .*

Our *Contractors, Pwds* and *Youth* have a reason to smile as our able County Government through the finance docket has kept its promise on the pending bills.

The said group(s) can now meet their obligations from paying fees for their Children and expandind their business among other ventures.

It's therefore proper to intone that our County is among the *first Counties to pay pending bills that had accrued from the previous regime .*

Another area that has been critical under the *guidance* and *leadership of our able finance CECM* is the current offer on *waiver of 100% interest on land rates ,* a clear Indication that our *County leadership* led by our *Governor* is not only *caring but alive to the fact that our County is keen on not leaving anyone behind but also conforming with our set laws that is not only critical in the emmancipation of our people ecomically but also giving them an opportunity to legalize their land and ownership of the same .*

Today in various parts of Rhoda, Nakuru Town West Sub-county, we engaged locals to help clear and unblock the drainages.

We request residents to desist from dumping solid waste in drainages to ease the flow of water and prevent flooding.
