The CECM for Finance and Economic Planning, Hon Stephen Iribe Njogu today attended a church service at PCEA Mwigito, in Njoro Ward, Njoro Sub County, and later represented HE Governor Susan Kihika in a sadaka maalum towards replacing the church's roof at the invitation of the area MCA Hon Hezekiah Kungu.
He used the opportunity to share Gov Susan Kihika's desire to ensure every part of the county gets an equitable share of development. He said Her Excellency Susan Kihika has elevated two towns, Njoro and Mau Narok, in to Municipalities, with an allocation of 20m in the next budget.
On matters health, The Governor instructed the department of health to operationalize Mwigito Dispensary whose construction had stalled and noted that now residents get the services closer home. The Governor has also allocated 50m to complete Njoro Sub County hospital in the coming financial year.
The CECM also informed the congregants that Njoro has been allocated 200 units in the affordable housing projects with more in the pipeline. The County Government is also working with national government to establish an Export Processing Zone/Industrial Park near Egerton University.
To spur economic activity in the County, the CECM said, Her Excellency the Governor has ordered the settlement of pending bills worth 1.5bn shillings. He implored the Church to continue praying for Her Excellency and Her government as she roles out her plan for the County.
The service was officiated by Rev Nancy.
He was accompanied by The Political Advisor in the office of the Governor, Hon Joseph Kibore Rutto, CO Kuria Kimani (Urban Planning) and Njoro Sub County Admin Julius Nyata.
Also present were the area MP Hon Charity Kathambi, MCAs Hon Cyrus Dida (Mau Narok Ward), Hon Simon Karanja (Kihingo Ward), Hon Njuguna Mwangi (Elburgon Ward) Hon John Mwangi (Turi Ward), and Hon Philip Wanjohi (Lare Ward/Minority Leader).
