దొంగ సచ్చినోడు. నా సొమ్ముతిని నాకే నీతులు చెపుతున్నాడు. ఆడదాని సొమ్ముతిన్నోడు అంతకంతకు అనుభవిస్తాడు" అంటా శివమ్మ జామకాయలు బుట్ట ముందు కూసుని ట్రాఫిక్ పొలిసు పైన పొద్దున్నే శివాలెత్తిపోతావుంది. సైక్లింగ్ దారిలో శివమ్మ జామకాయలు, త్యాగాలు తో రోజు శాంతినగర్ దగ్గర రోడ్ పక్కన కనిపిస్తుంది. మోపెడ్ మీద అమ్మపాలెం నుంచి రోజు వచ్చి కాయలు అమ్ముకొని పోతుంది. మొగుడు తాగు బోతు. ఎం పని చేసినా రూపాయి ఇంటికి రాదు. ఇద్దరు ఆడపిల్లలకు అన్నీ తానె అయి ముందుండి పెళ్లిళ్లు చేసింది.
"రోడ్ కు అడ్డంగా వుండి కాయలు అమ్ముతున్నావు. ట్రాఫిక్ పొలిసు ఏమయినా అన్నాడని ఆయన్నే తిడుతున్నావు. ఇదేమయినా న్యాయంగా ఉందా" అని అడిగాను. "నిన్న నా దగ్గర రూపాయి ఇవ్వకుండా రెండు కట్టలు త్యాగాలు పట్టుకొని పోయినాడు. నీతిలేనోడు రూల్స్ మాట్లాడితే ఎట్లా" అని శివమ్మ లా పాయింటు లాగింది.

ఈ రోజు కన్ను మూసిన ఈనాడు గ్రూప్ సంస్థల మేనేజింగ్ డైరెక్టర్ అట్లూరి రామమోహన్ రావు కు, సంస్థ చైర్మన్ రామోజీరావుకు వుండే అనుబంధం గురించి సంస్థ ఉద్యోగులు కతలు కతలు గా చెప్పుకుంటారు. నేనూ ఆ సంస్థలో కొంతకాలం పనిచేయడం వల్ల అలా నాకు తెలిసిన కొన్ని సంఘటనలు ఈ సందర్బంగా చెప్పాలనిపించింది.
రామమోహన్ రావు రామోజీ రావుకు బాల్య స్నేహితుడే కాదు. సంస్థ విస్తరణకు ఒక పని రాక్షసుడు.
ఈనాడు పత్రిక తొలుత విశాఖపట్టణం లో ప్రారంభమయినప్పుడు సకాలం లో పత్రికను పాఠకుడి ముంగిట్లోకి చేర్చడం పెద్ద సవాలుగా మారింది. అప్పటివరకు ఎక్కడో పొద్దున్నే అచ్చయిన పత్రిక సాయంత్రానికి గాని పాఠకుడికి చేరేది కాదు. పాఠకుడు నిద్ర లెగవకముందే ఇంటి ముందు పత్రిక చేరాలనేది లక్ష్యం. సేల్స్ బాయ్స్ ఏ పాయింట్ దగ్గరకు ఏ టైం కు చేరాలనే వివరాలతో టైం టేబుల్ సద్దమయ్యేది. కొన్ని సెంటర్లకు రామ్మోహన్ రావు పేపర్ బాయి చేరకముందే చేరిపోయి ఆకస్మిక తనిఖీ చేసేవారు.
ఈనాడు ఈవెనింగర్ గా కూడా అప్పట్లో సాయంత్రం అచ్చయ్యేది. ప్రధాన కూడళ్లను సేల్స్ పాయింట్లు గా ఫిక్స్ చేసి అక్కడ సేల్స్ బాయ్స్ పత్రికను అమ్మాలి. పాఠకులను ఆకర్షించేలా బిగ్గరగా అరుస్తూ ఎలా అమ్మాలో డెమో చేసి మరి చూపించేవారు అంట. ఈనాడు ఇరబై ఐదు వసంతాలు పూర్తి చేసుకున్న సందర్బంగా విడుదలయిన ప్రత్యేక సంచిక లో వచ్చిన సమాచారం ఆధారంగా ఈ విషయం ఇక్కడ చెప్పాను.
సంస్థ ప్రయోజనానికి స్వప్రయోజనానికి ఘర్షణ తెచ్చిపెట్టే మరో సంఘటన. ఒక బ్రాంచి మేనేజర్ తెలిపిన సమాచారం ఆధారంగా ఈ సంఘటన చెప్పే ప్రయత్నం చేస్తాను.
రామ్మోహన్ రావు అల్లుడు సంస్థలో ఒక విభాగానికి అధిపతిగా పని చేసేవాడు. సంస్థ నిధుల దుర్వినియోగానికి అల్లుడు బాద్యుడని ఆరోపణ. ఆరోపణపైన విచారణ జరిపే బాధ్యత రామ్మోహన్ రావు పైన పడింది. విచారణలో ఆరోపణలు వాస్తవం అని తేలింది. అల్లుడిని వుద్యోగం నుంచి తప్పించారు.
రామోజీ రావే స్వయంగా జోక్యం చేసుకుని ఉదారంగా వ్యవహరించమని అడిగితె రామ్మోహన్ రావు గట్టిగా కాదన్నారట. అల్లుడికి అనుకూలంగా బంధు ప్రీతి చూపితే అది సంస్థలో సరయిన సంకేతం పంపదు అని అన్నారట. మరో మార్గం లేక అల్లుడికి రామోజీరావు మరోచోట వుద్యోగం వెతికి పెట్టారట.
అలా నలభై ఏళ్ల ఈనాడు ప్రస్థానం లో రామోజీకి తోడుగా నిలబబడ్డ స్నేహితుడు, సేనాని ఇప్పుడు మౌనంగా నిష్క్రమించాడు.
