Canada's journey ends with the round robin at the 2025 Booster Juice World Junior Mixed Doubles. After rattling off four straight wins, the Canadians were just short of the playoffs.
Congratulations to Dominique Vivier and Nick Codner. All of Canada is proud of your efforts and how you represented the country! 🇨🇦
One win to go! Canada's Dominique Vivier and Nick Codner earned two important wins on Friday at the Booster Juice World Junior Mixed Doubles Championship. Now, all that remains between them and a playoff spot later today is a game against Switzerland.
While it was a rough opening game at the Booster Juice World Junior Mixed Doubles Curling Championship, Canada's Dominique Vivier, Nick Codner and coach Laura Walker are far from discouraged!

Meet the Cast
What player has accomplished more in the last forty years than all others? The answer is an easy one. Kevin Martin is considered by many commentators and former and current players to be the greatest curler of all time. His resume simply overflows. 3 time Olympian including gold and silver medals; world champion; 18 time Grand Slam champion including 8 Players titles; 4 time Brier champion; member of both the Canadian and World Curling Halls of Fame.
Upon retirement, he took his vast knowledge to the broadcast booth where he shares insight with viewers of Sportsnet and NBC. Similarly, he shares his expertise at the grassroots and high-performance levels of the sport, through the Kevin Martin Curling Academy.
But perhaps his most noteworthy achievement of all time was in 2002 when he led the charge for many of Canada's elite teams to boycott the Brier - a movement that resulted in two fundamental things: the beginning of the Grand Slam, as we know it today; and forcing Curling Canada's hand to monetize the championship events in a manner that was more favourable to the athletes. The foundation of what exists today.
The ol' Bear, as he is known, has many a story to tell.
Warren Hansen is regarded worldwide as one of the sport's true trailblazers. In the last fifty years, no other person has touched curling at so many levels. From stories to stats, from the back rooms to the boardrooms, Warren has the inside scoop on all of it. And he loves to regale.
Best known in his role as Director of event management for the Canadian Curling Association (Curling Canada) up until 2015... he is also a Brier Champion; started the world's first curling instruction school; co-developed one of the first curling shoes; was at the front-end of developing officiating and stats; helped lay the groundwork for curling at the Olympics; was a pioneer in creating Canada's Season of Champions on TSN; as well as the Continental Cup and Mixed Doubles; and was instrumental in bringing the first major event to Las Vegas.
He is a member of the Canadian Curling Hall of Fame, and the only resident of British Columbia to be inducted into the World Curling Hall of Fame. Warren is also an accomplished writer, editor and author. In a nutshell, his work largely defines the framework upon which curling is presented live in major arenas and on live television to this day.
Curling's new millennium started off with the introduction of a new addition to the legendary Brier Patch. Its name: JIM JEROME. Jimmy became the reason fans couldn't get from the arena to the Patch fast enough after every draw. His antics ranged from raw to raucous to irreverent and all points in between. Nobody...not a fan, not an athlete...was exempt from his hilarious schtick, and he also learned just enough about curling to be even more dangerous.
As the host of INSIDE CURLING, the Podcast... "Jungle" is the perfect conduit to jostle between Martin and Hansen. Everybody needs a chuckle, right?
