DEADLINE EXTENSION- 15TH DECEMBER ‼️

We have had some absolutely incredible submissions so far and are getting ready to present some fascinating visual and written work - so if you’ve already submitted something, thank you!

However, we want to give people more time to explore and respond to our themes, so we’re extending the deadline into the holidays - remember they can take ANY multimedia format, just email to [email protected] (and if they can’t be contained in an email, DM us).

We want and welcome your art, photos, poetry, prose, hypotheses, dreams, programs, simulations, generations, sketches, designs, and everything else under the sun 🌞

We’re excited to reveal one of our first artists to be featured in the zine: MIT Media Lab experimental artist and technologist Ani Liu who specialises in augmented body and biological art. In Issue 001 we will be featuring her feminist political piece in which women can control the directional movement of s***m with their minds using an EEG.

More from Tomas Saraceno. In Saraceno's 'The Cosmic Dust Spider Web Orchestra' natural forms are explored and re-presented to us through sound waves.

His most recent exhibition Areocene explores and replicates Buckminster Fuller's domes to portray a world where we adopt a circular way of co-existing with the world and its finite natural resources. https://walkerart.org/magazine/counter-currents-tomas-saraceno-on-buckminster-fuller

🔬To get things going, the Vertex team share with you some thematic projects to inspire and intrigue:

Tomas Saraceno. Hugely inspired by the works of Buckminster Fuller, Saraceno's artwork is influenced by repetitions of the same hexagon structure to create circular domes, the tessellation sometime interactive, sometimes huge.
