Just like the original installment before it, this sequel holiday special follows the exact same formula as its predecessor. First, Caitlin and Don gift each other a randomly-selected advertiser. Then, after a 30-minute hiatus (that you don’t have to wait through thanks to the magic of audio editing), we present each other with freshly-written original jingles that would make even a grinch’s heart grow three sizes (minimum). After that, Don surprises Caitlin with a political jingle he found in the wild that ultimately failed to help its candidate win an election, but is too country-fried good not to discuss. We’re BACK with our final “regular” episode of 2024 with what might be the catchiest jingle we’ve ever profiled - Nantucket Crisps of Nantucket, Massachusetts! Caitlin and Don kick things off by chatting about scary movies and Thanksgiving fun before getting into the jingle and a bag of these crispy, salty treats. WTTJ is back with yet another long-shelved episode recorded earlier this year as we profile the jingle of Zoom Tan, the regional tanning salon chain with a heavy presence in both New York and Florida. In this one, Don pledges his loyalty to his childhood dentist while Caitlin finally comes clean about her desire to be tan and tasty despite her better judgement. We also cover the local (to us) Zoom Tan takeover and multiple news reports of unauthorized cell phone use at the salon while Don tries his best to avoid a lawsuit. Will he succeed? After a months-long hiatus that had absolutely nothing to do with Don’s distaste for jingle being featured, Welcome to the Jingle returns with the toe-tapping ad for legendary local(ish) beverage company Utica Club of Utica, New York! Ok, this episode was recorded nearly a half-year ago before being lost and then re-discovered on a hard drive, so there are plenty of dated references - but don’t let that stop you!. You’ll hear all about Caitlin’s Mexican guacamole disaster, Don’s upcoming original pop tune release (which has since happened: Summer Song https://open.spotify.com/track/0Y9DcJdtIMCUPO2HsI5aH4 ), and eventually we review U.C.’s psychedelic full-length jingle from 1968 that Caitlin just loves. The Holy Grail of jingles has been found (or rather, it found us) as we finally review the Albany Times Union’s iconic television ads for our epic season finale! Yes, we know we’ve been gone for too long, and with season two coming to an end we’re about to be gone even (too) longer, so here you go: a 2.5+ hour episode with absolutely no bathroom breaks (that you know of). First, a three-week COVID delay. Then, threats of rain, a computer that wouldn't boot up and finally a microphone with a severe case of stage fright. The podcast gods were clearly against us on this one, but in the end, we beat the odds and managed to record our long-awaited live episode at Indian Ladder Farms in Altamont, New York! To kick things off, we sit down with ILF owners Laurie Ten Eyck and Dietrich "Dieter" Gehring to chat about the farm's history, products and upcoming events. After that, we listen to four of their jingles alongside jingle writer/singer/producer/one-man-show Ritz Carlton. As if all that weren't enough to make you want to listen in, we also preview our upcoming season finale featuring WTTJ's "white whale" that we totally found ourselves and definitely wasn't just sent to us by somebody else(according to Caitlin). Thanks again to the folks at ILF for welcoming us to their awesome farm, and to all our friends and family who joined us there!

If you are coming to Indian Ladder Farms for today's live show (12-1), we will be set up in their brand-new Pizza Garden starting at 11 am! We recommend parking in the larger Farm Store parking lot and then following the signs up to the garden, or you can ask the hostess or any ILF employee and they will direct you.
