I know of 2 summer stages that swelter: Hartwood and Highland Park (here). A couple of artists mentioned how tough it was to play on 8/4, so I called 311 to suggest that the stage be rotated a little to reduce the direct sun blast. If you agree, a few additional calls might help

During this year’s Johnstown trip, I made the requisite stop at George’s. I wanted this Motown release for the 2025 “All The Day Live” on The Soul Show. A guy combing the 45 bins pointed out that not only did UK graphic artist Roger Dean - Official Page do Osibisa and Yes album art, but also some Rare Earth. I suspect that he did this one.

Everyone, I've been elected to the Board of Chamber Music Pittsburgh. This is my second trustee position in a lifetime, but the first music related one. As you know from The Soul Show, genre boundaries can, and should be, nebulous. Watching CMP inclusionary efforts have been inspiring. Based on experience, I know that effecting change is difficult from non-decision-making positions, and it's exciting to now be on the inside of a cultural organization.

Thanks to the past and present executives for persuading me over the past year :). I will enjoy this team. It doesn't hurt that the First Fam, Anqwenique and Darrell, are important advisory beacons at CMP.
