How long do you spend getting your video structure & flow just the way you want it in the edit?
I was talking to my pal Brian G. Johnson yesterday about video length.
I told him that I never even think about the final length of my video.
My goal is to get the message across as quickly and efficiently as possible while also making sure the structure and flow is ultra smooth.
I obsess over making sure every word I leave in is there because I think it needs to be.
A 10-20 minute video for me has between 500-1,000 cuts just on the main track alone.
Some of them are finding the right take, but a lot of it is removing breaths or pauses that I think took too long to start the next sentence and cutting out things I felt were, in any way, redundant or unnecessary.
• A cup of coffee made at home might cost you about 50 cents.
• The same coffee at a local diner could be priced at $2.00.
• In a trendy café downtown, that price might go up to $4.00.
• At a luxury hotel, the same cup could be served for $6.00.
• In a high-end restaurant, you might be charged $8.00 for it.
The beans and the drink are all basically the same, the major difference is the environment.
Each environment attributes a different value to a cup of coffee.
When you find that your talents and efforts are undervalued, remember this cup of coffee.
Don't hesitate to change your environment.
Seek places and people that recognize and appreciate your full potential.
Your value does not decrease based on someone's inability or refusal to see your worth.☮️

Creating a YouTube video is kind of like building a paper boat that you want to float in the water.
• You can learn how to design it
• You can find better products to craft it
• You can learn to build it in less time
But no matter how well you build your paper boat, there will always be other factors that will affect how well it performs.
• How rough the waters are
• How long the paper will last
• Where you chose to put it in the water
• How many bigger boats are in your way
Keep in mind that as important as things like Topic, Title & Thumbnail are, so are....
• Timing
• Structure
• Execution
• Competition
Give your little paper boat every opportunity to shine out in the water as long as possible. ☮️
USE AI AS A TOOL.
It can be part of your workflow without becoming your entire workflow.
Some of my strongest performing thumbnails came from some of the worst pictures.
If you know what you're making before you start building it, AI can help you create some pretty cool things.
