We use a huge amount of natural gas. And this isn't going to change anytime soon, unless our economy crashes. Then we'll have problems just getting by. Look at these charts, this is in the billions of cubic feet.

The difference is that the DR relies on fossil fuels that are affordable. Haiti does not. Haitians have cut down the forests for wood to cook and heat their homes.

More coal used in communist China. China uses more than half of the 8 billion tons used each year.

Billions will starve without fertilizers. Because green zealots don't like natural gas which is required to make it and nitrogen that makes up 78% or our atmosphere they are trying to drastically reduce them in Netherlands, Canada, NZ and Ireland. Starving people for climate is evil.

The world gets 84% of its energy from coal, oil and natural gas. Only 3.3% from wind and solar. Not likely to change soon.
That is 8 billion tons of coal (half burned by communist China and they are building hundreds more coal plants), 36 billion barrels of oil (the US uses 20%) and 135 trillion cubic feet. People have no idea of the scale.

The problem with wind energy is that wind doesn't blow often when needed the most, when it is cold or hot.
