A German man was found dead at a house in Prachinburi early on Wednesday morning after being discovered by his ex-wife.

The man, 59 years old, had apparently suffered a single stab wound to the chest. Police have stated they are launching a murder investigation and the body has been sent for autopsy to establish an official cause of death.

The man’s ex-wife told reporters that she went round to the house to meet him and she discovered his body on his bed with a knife nearby.

Thairath reports that the man had lived in Thailand for some 10 years and worked as an English teacher at a local language school.
