🛰Another one from the archive. Clubs had opened up again, sun was shining and from the sounds of it I was still struggling the weekends previous antics. Despite my suggestion at the start that I was going to play industrial tracks I then proceed to do nothing of the sort. Some tasty 90s after-rave tracks to float you into the start of this mix before I inevitably descend into the heart of darkness 🦐

🛰️ Haven't posted anything in a while. Been super busy with very boring things. I've got a huge backlog of mixes from my show on so I'll be uploading these over next coming months. This latest one dates back to when clubs opened again after being shut for far too long. The lack of raves clearly had me feeling fairly sombre and the tunes in this mix reflect that. Don't worry though, it has a happy ending. Laid-back, thick drones are the driving force in this one. I also seem to have lost half my mix to the aether. Hope you enjoy it! 🦐

Dance floor filler "A Little Louder" from the album "Different Day" by is this week's track of the week. When Electrobreaks meet disco this is what you get and it sounds fantastic.
The whole album is worth a listen too, one of the few full albums I've bought on vinyl.

🛰️ TRACK OF THE WEEK 🦐

Blurring the line between electronic and acoustic music, Joe Acheson, the man behind produces music in an unconventional manner. Starting by recording guest musicians separately, Joe then combines these together to produce his music. The result is often tremendous and is epitomised in "Antiphon", a track with a huge amount of depth and texture. The works of expert musicians is utilised flawlessly here and the result is truly incredible.

🛰️ Had the pleasure of seeing at last weekend. Mind bending set during which he dropped "Baby", a crowd favourite from his 2020 album "Sixteen Oceans", possibly my favourite album of all time.
Great track and an even better album from one the greatest musicians of our time. Have a listen, I'm sure you'll enjoy 🦐

From the man who brought ghetto house back into the mainstream, YouTube sensation Partiboi69 knocks it out of the park with "Magnificent".
If you're not already familiar with the work of Partiboi69 then I'd recommend his YT channel not just for beats but also for the outstanding cinematics.
Dig into this one for a taste of his style. His beats might be filthy, but his creps couldn't be cleaner.

🛰️ Big hitters in 1990s UK rave scene were pioneers of "Ambient House" forever adding a new dimension to what could constitute as club music. A step away from big bass kicks and intensive percussion allows for experimental melodies to reign free. One of their most successful tracks "Toxygene" is a prime example of this 🦐

🛰️ In the heart of 90s rave reigns supreme... With beats that sound quintessentially British rave you wouldn't know the man was born and raised in Philadelphia. His tracks impressed the European scene and in the Peak of his success released "Higher State of Consciousness". Busy, energetic, and more fun than serious this one will not just get your feet moving but your whole body flailing.
When the clubs open up again I'd be happy to hear tracks half as good this one 🦐

🛰 House has split into so many subgenres it's rare to find a track that fits into the house category without a prefix being attached. However, the remix of "I get lifted" by is one such track. Released under the Strictly Rhythm label in 1994 this funky track rarely feels out of place🦐

As pioneers of this era Future Sound of London - FSOL have an extensive and impressive discography. This week's track of the week, "Pulse State", comes from their first studio album released in 1991. An ambient breakbeat house track that continually morphs and builds layer upon layer, you'll find this one has a way of burying itself deep inside your mind 🦐
