Announcement

Follow the rollout of the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination campaign LIVE on BBS starting 9am tomorrow (March 27, 2021).

It takes off at Lungtenzampa School vaccination centre with the lighting of butter lamps and prayers preceding the landmark moment of the inoculation of the first person, Ninda Dema with COVID-19 vaccine.

The Prime Minister Dr Lotay Tshering will be the second person to receive the jab at his quarantine centre. This will be followed by vaccination of the family members of the prime minister and the rest of the cabinet ministers.

BBS will also bring you updates from other parts of the country. The program, presented in collaboration with Prime Minister's Office, will be aired live until 12.30 pm.

Prime Minister will also reach out to the nation to share experiences and updates from day one of the vaccination campaign, from the quarantine facility after the 7pm news tomorrow.

Sewla Monastery is the seat of His Eminence Trulku Mepham Choki Nyinjed, the 6th Reincarnation of Jamgoen Rinpoche and it was built in 1718. It took about 3-4 to reach there from Mochhu Rafting point and if we travel through vehicles, it is about 52km far from Punakha. Monastery is located at the top pf the mountain where we can see the wonderful valleys of Punakha Dzongkhag and also the Punakha Dzong view. Monks of Sewla Monastery are kind hearted. They warm welcome all the visitors.
