Don’t let our incredible events and festivals industries die. I am proud to be supporting the nationwide 🚨RED ALERT🚨 campaign, to signal a RED ALERT to the UK government.
The events and festivals industries provide employment for 1 million people, but are in crisis and we see no immediate solution.
Red Alert is raising awareness of the UK’s highly skilled events industries professionals, all of whom have had no work for the past four months with little likelihood of restarting until Spring 2021.
Our events and festivals industries include a huge supply chain ranging from production, audio, lighting and video, to logistics, planning, transportation, and some of the world’s leading technology manufacturers.
Without major immediate support from Government, the entire live events sector supply chain is at risk of collapse, and the UK is in danger of losing its global position as a world leader in world class events.
Events and festivals need help and fast.
We stand to lose everything that is great about our country, what makes us special, our arts, culture, music, our world leading festivals, incredible exhibitions, amazing business events and live events.
In addition all of our outstandingly skilled and clever creatives, crew, artists, equipment hirers, engineers, technicians, security staff and event teams could lose their livelihoods for good.
Today is a “day of action” calling for the Government to “THROW US A LINE” before we lose the talent and expertise that is the envy of the world.
Across the country campaigns will be happening to draw attention to the numbers of people and their livelihoods affected by the government closure of the events industry. Our industry was the first to stop and will most likely be the last to return.
Much love and respect to all our incredible that are taking action today to highlight the concern for our wonderful festivals and events industries.
