Far Cry 6: Ubisoft reveals PC system requirements and recommended settings

The French game developer and publisher Ubisoft has finally announced the minimum and recommended system requirements for the PC version of its upcoming Triple-A title Far Cry 6. The shooter will reportedly run on a wide variety of gaming hardware and support DirectX raytracing as well as AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution. That being said, Far Cry 6's minimum PC requirements are fairly moderate.

To play the game at low settings, 1080p resolution and 30fps, gamers will need at least the CPU equivalent of an AMD Ryzen 3 1200 or Intel Core i5-4460, a GPU equivalent to the AMD Radeon RX 460 or Nvidia GTX 960 and 8GB of dual-channel memory. To play Far Cry 6 at 1080p/60fps and recommended settings, Ubisoft suggests at least an AMD Ryzen 5 3600X or Intel Core i7-7700, an AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 or Nvidia GTX 1080 and 16GB of RAM. Gamers who prefer to play at 1440p and 60fps will need at least an AMD Ryzen 5 3600X or Intel Core i7-9700, an AMD Radeon RX 5700XT or Nvidia RTX 2070 Super and 16GB of memory as well.

As expected, the game's raytracing features require an enthusiast-grade gaming PC. In order to run the shooter at 1440p at 60fps with activated raytracing, you'll need an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X or Intel Core i5-10600 and an AMD Radeon RX 6900XT or Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070. Last but not least, to run the game at 4k resolution, 30fps and activated raytracing, high-end gamers will need at least an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X or Intel Core i7-10700K and an AMD Radeon RX 6800 or Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080. 16GB of RAM should be enough to enjoy Far Cry 6 even on its highest settings.. Far Cry 6 will be releasing on October 7.

PUBG: New State pre-registrations have gone live in India, game maker Krafton has announced. Pre-registrations are now open on Google Play store and App Store for Android and iPhone users, respectively. The new game was announced globally in February but pre-registrations were not opened in India back then as the company was working on re-launching PUBG Mobile India — that debuted as Battlegrounds Mobile India — in the country. However, now that the launch of Battlegrounds Mobile India has happened, Indian users can join other gamers around the world in pre-registering for the PUBG: New State.

Krafton says that PUBG: New State will launch as a free-to-play experience on Android and iOS platforms this year. However, an exact launch date has not been shared yet. Interested players can pre-register on Google Play for Android devices and App Store for iOS devices. PUBG: New State has so far attracted over 32 million pre-registrations globally since February, but these numbers do not include fans from in India, China, and Vietnam. Pre-registered users get free access to a limited vehicle skin (permanently).

Announced in February, PUBG: New State has the familiar battle royale setting, but it is set in 2051 and includes modern weapons and vehicles, as well as some gadgets that promise to enhance the gameplay. The trailer released in February showed off some of the new mechanics and environments that will differentiate PUBG: New State from other PUBG titles. Some of the teased features include new rides, flying toys, and customisable guns

Windows 11 Will Be Available Starting From October 5- No Android Apps Support At Launch

Microsoft introduced Windows 11, the next major Windows update, back in June, and also released the early build through Windows Insider Program soon after. At that time, it said that the stable version will be available this holiday. Today it was confirmed that it will start rolling out for eligible devices starting from October 5th.

As announced earlier, this will be a free upgrade to Windows 10 users, but it will be a phased roll-out which the company says is measured with a focus on quality. All eligible devices will get the Windows 11 update by mid-2022.That means new eligible devices will be offered the upgrade first. The upgrade will then roll out over time to in-market devices based on intelligence models that consider hardware eligibility, reliability metrics, age of device and other factors that impact the upgrade experience.

If you have a Windows 10 PC that’s eligible for the upgrade, Windows Update will let you know when it’s available. You can also check to see if Windows 11 is ready for your device by going to Settings > Windows Update and select Check for updates.

System requirements

Basic requirements for installing Windows 11 on a PC include 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster processor with 2 or more cores on a compatible 64-bit processor or System on a Chip (SoC), 4GB RAM, 64 GB or larger storage, UEFI, Secure Boot capable system firmware, Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0, graphics card compatible with DirectX 12 or later with WDDM 2.0 driver, High definition (720p) display that is greater than 9” diagonally, 8 bits per colour channel, internet connectivity and a Microsoft account to complete device setup on first use for Windows 11 Home.

It will be relaunching the PC Health Check app soon, so you can check to see if your current PC will be eligible to upgrade.

Microsoft recently confirmed that most Intel 7th Gen and AMD Zen 1 processors are not eligible for upgrade, but it won’t block manual installation using an ISO. It warned that devices that are not eligible, have faced 52% more kernel mode crashes based on its testing while devices that meet the official minimum specs “had a 99.8% crash free erequirements

No Android apps at launch

At the launch event, Microsoft confirmed that Android apps will be available in the Microsoft Store for the first time, and users can easily download these apps through the Amazon App store in partnership with Amazon and Intel. Today it has confirmed that the feature will not be available at the launch, and will roll out soon starting with a preview for Windows Insiders over the coming months.

REDMI K50 AND XIAOMI MI 12 WITH SD898 SOC TO ARRIVE THIS YEAR

A recent report from popular Weibo leakster, shows that some new devices from Xiaomi have been filed for. The Weibo blogger claims that these smartphones are in the Xiaomi Mi 12 and Redmi K50 series. As usual, Xiaomi is about to create another war within its own flagships. Interestingly, both flagships will use the same flagship processor, Snapdragon 898 SoC. According to speculations, the Snapdragon 898 will be officially unveiled this year. So far, it appears that the Xiaomi Mi 12 series will be the first to use this processor. Thus, this smartphone needs to launch in November at the earliest. Some report claims that this device will launch in mid-December. Recall that the Xiaomi Mi 11 debuting the Snapdragon 888 launched in December last year.

Considering the performance of the Redmi K40 series, everyone’s expectations for the Redmi K50 are higher. According to past practices, the Redmi K series models are a little late than other Snapdragon 898 models. Furthermore, the Redmi K series observes the digital series performance which makes it easier to set a suitable price. This series also gives an option for Xiaomi Mi 12 series lovers with a shallow pocket. If the digital series is too expensive, try the Redmi K series, after all, they use the same chip. This is Xiaomi’s idea and it may debut the Redmi K5o series in December this year.

Just like previous models, the Redmi K50 series will still have three models. However, all the models will not use the same processor. While one of them will come with the Snapdragon 888 SoC, the other two will use the flagship Snapdragon 898 SoC. The Snapdragon 898 SoC will be equipped with a three-cluster CPU design with a large core frequency. It will include a very large Cortex-X2 core, a large Cortex-A710 core, and a small Cortex-A510 core. By design, the AnTuTu running points of this chip may exceed one million for the first time.

In addition, some sources claim that the Redmi K50 series will use up to 100W fast charging for the first time. However, only the Pro+ model will use this charging capacity. The regular model will support a lower charging capacity.

In the camera department, the Redmi K50 will come with a 108MP main camera. This again will be for the high-end model only. The lower models will use a 48MP main camera. However, the lower models may also have a higher pixel for 4in1.

Top 5 Budget Gaming Laptop To Buy In 2021

1. Lenovo Legion 5

Specs: Display: 15.6 inches (1920 x 1080 pixel resolution) | CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800H | RAM: 16GB | Storage: 512GB | Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050Ti | Weight: 5.3lbs | Battery Life: 6 hours

OK, so this one is $50 over your $1,000 budget. But it’s still worth a look. Some gamers’ idea of a budget laptop may skirt closer to $1,000 – or even a little more. If you have a little extra cash to splurge, then the Legion 5 should be on your list to consider. For the couple of hundred extra dollars you’d spend, you get a different level of specs than cheaper rivals, starting with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

But even more important are a higher-tier processor (the Ryzen 7 compares favorably to Intel’s latest Core i7 CPUs) and a graphics card that’s a step-up from the GeForce GTX 1650 seen on other systems here. Besides its price, the Legion 5 is on the heavier side for this list, and your expectations on battery life should be low.

Pros:
Higher-tier processor and graphics card
16GB RAM

Cons:
At the top of the budget price range

2. Asus TUF Gaming F17

Specs: Display: 17.3 inches (1920 x 1080 pixel resolution) | CPU: Intel Core i5-10300H | RAM: 8GB | Storage: 512GB | Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti | Weight: 5.7lbs | Battery Life: 6 hours

Though most laptop screens run 15.6 inches or smaller, a subset of users prefers a larger display. On this list, the HP Pavilion offers a slightly bigger screen at 16.1 inches, but for gamers who desire even more screen real estate, the Asus TUF Gaming F17 could be your choice. It provides a 17.3-inch display, which translates roughly to 20% more screen area than a 15.6-inch display possesses (although with the same resolution as the other screens here, so it’s actually lower in pixels per inch).

Given the larger display, it’s no surprise that the Asus is the heaviest laptop listed here, though it still manages to weigh under 6 lbs. Specs are otherwise similar to the lower-end systems here – though you do get twice as much storage – but you’re paying more for the larger display.

Pros:
17.3-inch screen
512GB solid-state drive

Cons:
On the heavier side

3. HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop

Specs: Display: 16.1 inches (1920 x 1080 pixel resolution) | CPU: Intel Core i5-10300H | RAM: 8GB | Storage: 256GB | Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 | Weight: 4.8lbs | Battery Life: 5 hours
Like Dell, HP has a gaming line (Omen) that usually starts at prices above the budget gamer’s threshold. Like Dell, the company has added gamer-friendly configurations to its mainstream laptop lineup to reach more cost-conscious buyers. Its lowest-priced Pavilion gaming model is configured similarly to the Dell G15, though with a few small tweaks and a cheaper price tag.
While Dell opts for a slightly faster processor, the Pavilion comes with the Core i5-10300H that the Asus and MSI laptops on this list also use. On the plus side, you get a slightly bigger screen at 16.1 inches than the typical 15.6-inch display most budget gaming laptops possess. Despite the larger screen, the Pavilion still manages to weigh several ounces less than the G15, though don’t expect much in the way of battery life.

Pros:
16.1-inch display

Cons:
Minimum specs for a gaming laptop
Low claimed battery life

4. Acer Nitro 5

Specs: Display: 15.6 inches (1920 x 1080 pixel resolution) | CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600H | RAM: 8GB | Storage: 256GB | Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 | Weight: 4.9lbs | Battery Life: 10 hours

Acer has had the Nitro line of gaming laptops for years, and while it includes configurations that are well beyond budget pricing, it also has affordable options like the one listed here. While it shares many of the same specs as its sub-$1000 competitors, this Nitro 5 is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 5 processor instead of an Intel Core i5 chip.

Not only does the Ryzen 5 5600H outperform the 10th-generation Core i5 processors, but it delivers superior battery life – at least for a gaming laptop. Unfortunately, you’re paying a premium for the processor and nothing else, as the remaining specs aren’t any better than its lower-priced competitors.

Pros:
AMD Ryzen 5 processor
Solid battery life

Cons:
Lagging while playing high end games

5. MSI GF63 Thin

Specs: Display: 15.6 inches (1920 x 1080 pixel resolution) | CPU: Intel Core i5-10300H | RAM: 8GB | Storage: 256GB | Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 | Weight: 4.1lbs. | Battery Life: 7 hours

The lowest-priced laptop on this list, the GF63 Thin, doesn’t cheap out on specs compared to similar models from Dell and HP. (Granted, its components are the minimum we’ve seen on today’s gaming notebooks.) However, MSI does skimp is in form factor – at under an inch thick and tipping the scales at just over 4 pounds, it’s definitely a bit more portable than other laptops on this list.

Despite its bargain price, the GF63 does include a few gamer-friendly features like its costlier competition, such as X-shaped ventilation to cool its svelte innards and the included MSI Dragon Center software to help customize and optimize system settings.

Pros:
Low price
Relatively lightweight
Good Battery life

Cons:
Minimum specs for a gaming laptop

Google bans 8 dangerous apps from Play Store; If you have them in your phone DELETE them from your phone now, check list

Here’s a list of the 8 malicious apps that Google has removed from the Play Store:

 BitFunds – Crypto Cloud Mining

 Bitcoin Miner – Cloud Mining

 Bitcoin (BTC) – Pool Mining Cloud Wallet

 Crypto Holic – Bitcoin Cloud Mining

 Daily Bitcoin Rewards – Cloud Based Mining System

 Bitcoin 2021

 MineBit Pro – Crypto Cloud Mining & btc miner

 Ethereum (ETH) – Pool Mining Cloud

These 8 apps banned by Google were luring people who were interested in making money from cryptocurrencies.
Google has banned as many as 8 dangerous apps from its Play Store including BitFunds, Bitcoin Miner, Bitcoin,Bitcoin (BTC) and more. You must delete them from your smartphone too; check the full list.

Cryptocurrency mining has been garnering everyone’s interest especially over the span of the last couple of months. However, hackers are using this public interest in cryptocurrencies to trick innocent netizens into installing malicious apps on their smartphones containing dangerous malware and adware. The good thing is that these malicious actors have been identified and Google has removed them. In fact, as many as 8 dangerous apps have been removed from Google Play Store that were masquerading as cryptocurrency mining apps – users were lured by promises of earning big profits by investing money in a cloud-mining operations.

Security firm Trend Micro reports that upon analysis it found that these eight malicious apps were tricking victims into watching ads, paying for subscription services that have an average monthly fee of $15 ( ₹1,115 approx.), and paying for increased mining capabilities without getting anything in return. The company reported its findings to Google Play, following which they were promptly removed by the company. The point is that Google may have removed them from Play Store, but these apps may well have already been downloaded on your phone. So, what you need to do is check out your phone for them and delete quickly.

The research site says that two of these apps are paid apps that users need to purchase. While users had to pay $12.99 ( ₹966 approx.) to download Crypto Holic – Bitcoin Cloud Mining, they needed to pay $5.99 ( ₹445 approx.) to download Daily Bitcoin Rewards – Cloud Based Mining System.

Furthermore, Trend Micro said that more than 120 fake cryptocurrency mining apps are still available online. “These apps, which do not have cryptocurrency mining capabilities and deceive users into watching in-app ads, have affected more than 4,500 users globally from July 2020 to July 2021,” the company wrote in a blog.

Here’s how you can recognise a fake cryptomining app:

1. Carefully read the app’s reviews: Fake apps will receive numerous 5-star reviews once they are released publicly. Pay more attention to 1-star reviews.

2. Try to enter an invalid or wrong cryptocurrency wallet address:Trend Micro says that if a user encodes an invalid wallet address and the app accepts it and is able to perform follow-up operations, there is a high probability that the app is fraudulent.

3. Restart the app or phone while it is in the process of mining: If a device is restarted after mining starts and the mining application is killed in the background, the system will forcibly clear the counter, resetting it to zero.

4. Confirm if there is a withdrawal fee: The transfer of cryptocurrency requires a handling fee, which is relatively high compared to what is typically made from cloud mining. Hence, free withdrawals are very suspicious, the firm said.

ONEPLUS 9 RT, THE WORLD’S FIRST ANDROID 12 SMARTPHONE GETS A LAUNCH DATE

In the first half of this year, OnePlus brought three new products in China: OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, and OnePlus 9R. Entering the second half of the year, OnePlus will bring a new member of the R series – OnePlus 9 RT. According to a recent report, the Oneplus 9 RT will arrive in October. The report claims that the OnePlus 9 RT is a derivative version of the OnePlus 9R. There will be minor upgrades, but no major changes. This smartphone will come with a 120Hz AMOLED full screen as well as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 flagship processor. Furthermore, it will use a 4500 mAh battery that supports 65W flash charging.

OnePlus 9 RT Specification

Compared with the OnePlus 9R, it is revealed that the upgrade point of the OnePlus 9RT lies in the camera department. The latter will come with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 as the main camera. The old OnePlus 9R comes with a 48MP main camera.

In addition, OnePlus 9 RT will be the world’s first smartphone to pre-install the Android 12 system. This smartphone will run on OxygenOS 12 on top of Android 12 out of the box. According to speculations, the OnePlus RT will be only available in some markets like India and China and will not enter the US market.

What will be the price of OnePlus 9 RT?

Although there is no information on the price of this device, we expect it to be cost-effective. The OnePlus 9R was launched as a “cost-effective” or “toned-down” version of the OnePlus 9 and features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870. Thus, the OnePlus 9 RT model which seems to be a slight increase of the OnePlus 9R should not be too expensive. However, we expect to get more information on the price in the coming weeks.

OnePlus introduced the “T” series of its current flagships in the days of the OnePlus 3. Since then we’ve been used to seeing these devices every year. The T-series flagships usually pack minor upgrades over the flagship models. In the past, they brought higher specifications and distinct designs. However, since the OnePlus 8T, the company has been changing the formula. While the OnePlus 8T arrived with a distinct design, the device was not much ahead of the other two OnePlus 8 series devices in terms of specs. Rumors have been suggesting that OnePlus could skip the “T-series” flagship this year, but now, there will be another device in the OnePLus 9 series. This new device is the “T” variant and it is the OnePlus 9 RT.

Intel unveils 12th Gen Alder Lake CPUs, teases upcoming high end GPUs

Intel has just launched its 12th generation of CPUs during its virtual Architecture Day conference. In this event, the company had also announced several new products for both consumers and businesses.

The American chip maker’s latest generation of processors arrive with the codename “Alder Lake,” which is expected to launch within the next few months. It is also expected to first arrive for desktop PCs before being made available in mobile platforms like laptops. A notably change with the new Intel 12th Gen Core processors is the inclusion of both high performance and low performance cores, which is common on mobile processors like smartphone SoCs. During the event, the company also talked about its highly anticipated gaming GPUs, with the first generation being codenamed “Alchemist” that will launch in early 2022 and will be manufactured by TSMC.

Furthermore, the 12th Gen chipsets arrives after the Lakefield CPUs that saw a limited release. The high powered cores will be called Performance Cores while the low powered ones are dubbed as Efficiency Cores (P Cores and E Cores in short). The E Cores are based on the tech giant’s “Gracemont” architecture and the P Cores are based on the “Golden Clove.” Notably, the former aims to offer efficiency and will target multi threaded performance across a large number of individual cores. On the other hand, the latter are built for speed and low latency.

Intel claims that the P Cores are its highest performance cores that it has ever made while this new generation also supports Advanced Matrix Extensions for accelerating deep learning training and inference. The company adds that both P and E Cores are highly scalable and that the new CPUs will be able to handle 100GBps of compute fabric bandwidth per P core or per cluster of four E cores. The Alder Lake CPUs will be manufactured on the new Intel 7 process, which is a rebranded version of its 10nm Enhanced SuperFIN Process that will supports DDR5 4800, LPDDR5 5200, DDR4 3200 and LPDDR4X 4266 RAMs, along with PCIe storage, Thunderbolt 4 ports, and Wi-Fi 6E
