Strap in, folks. Today marks the release of a SCORCHING new single from @littlehag !!! ‘The Machine’ is out now, with a music video streaming on @vevo Pride!! When Avery came to me with this song and the vibe behind it, I was ecstatic about the idea of being able to bring some campiness and ridiculousness into the fray by way of invoking some ‘Frankenstein’s monster’ in a way I’m sure you’ve *~never~* seen before. Additionally, this video was my first experiment capturing an almost 16:9 extraction from a properly oriented anamorphic lens by turning a reddigitalcinema ’s sensor sideways and getting a beautiful 2x desqueeze out of @atlaslensco ’s Orion 40mm. I am so so SO thrilled to be sharing a very special live session project I got to work on with such a beloved gang of cohorts for @colbertlateshow : a live performance from the incredible @sinkane (and his positively virtuosic band) of “We Belong”, off of his recently released album. Under the creative direction of @benjaminmlieber , I got to run a highly choreographed one-take Steadicam shot that weaved in and out of the nooks and crannies of this wondrous retro skate bar in Brooklyn, taking advantage of some stone-cold reliable Fujinon zoom glass. And I cannot say enough about the incredible work of @connorhanson_music with the assistance of @gregorythomaspease running ears and capturing absolutely delicious tones from each and every performer in that room. It might be Tuesday in our heads but it’s always the weekend in our hearts. Today, my band @marigoldny releases a brand new single, ‘Weekends With You’. Our first in a good long while, and a momentous start to a new era of us. And of course, you know @benjaminmlieber and I had to shake the dust off our lenses and produce a music video for ourselves in-house! A beloved Beacon weekend haunt, Quinn’s was the canvas upon which we decided to paint a simple and honest portrait of us filling a place of rest and relaxation with a sound and fury that only an acoustic guitar-laden indie band could. As well, I’ve been having a LOT of fun experimenting with the unique mounting and aspect ratio options offered by @atlaslensco ‘s Orion PL anamorphics, and this video marks one of the first times my fussing about has materialized into a finished project. Lots to unpack today with the release of @sonoaband ’s latest single ‘Suitcase’!!! Namely, a pointedly black and white music video for this melodic ear worm of a song that I had a wonderful time shooting with the band. We settled in to my studio and sought to make the most overly dramatic, noir-giving visualization of a person packing a suitcase that we could possibly muster up. It’s the beginning of a new era for @canehill with the release of their INSANE new single ‘The Midnight Sun’. Together with the stalwart creative direction of @benjaminmlieber , the remarkable projectionist talents of @aseemsuri and the incredible lighting design of @boujeelowlife , we created a video for the band that sends them into a different dimension via the projection room at @lumestudios . I took advantage of @atlaslensco Orions to give some flare-friendly lovin’ to the lighting installation and exaggerate the transportive effects of the projection show. INCREDIBLY excited to be sharing with you today the music video I got to create for my shoreline shredders @sonicblume and the opening track ‘Rocky & I’ off their latest LP ‘All Your Favorite Songs’. I was given the creative opportunity to explore the Wes Anderson-driven parts of my brain as we sought to paint a beautiful portrait not just of Max and the performance, but of the iconic saltwater-kissed stomping grounds of Jersey’s very own LBI. I spent a lovely summer day back near my old Rutgers stomping grounds putting together a music video with the band, on a mission to both deliver a killer performance AND tell an all too relatable story of cyclical blasé and toxic routine. I turned a garage into a literal sauna with spotlights and fog and let the natural sun really do the rest. My phasers are set to stoke as I share with you the fun and chaotic music video we got to create together for their blazing hot new single ‘Charm Bracelet’ off the upcoming ‘Fast Fashion’ EP. We threw a house party bursting at the seams with fog, RGB lighting, and a story of missed connection centered around the titular ‘charm bracelet’. Hold on to your butts!! We got a whole freakin’ ALBUM on the way from some of my oldest friends in the game, @withsailsahead . And alongside the announcement? A hooky-as-hell new single and music video ‘Swear Words’. All we set out to do was capture a colorful, occasionally glitchy performance of the band doing what they do best. BEHOLD and BEWARE. Today on this spookiest of Wednesdays, good friend @ericraven138 and I get to share with you the crazy fun music video we produced for his latest single ‘Hold Me Now’ feat. @im_bullhead . Eric came to me with a vision for a thoughtful interpretation of slasher horror injected with the energy and attitude of the song, with a couple twists and turns along the way. Alongside a truly lovely cast, I think we fulfilled that vision across a two day shoot in a house surely haunted to the gills. I love dabbling in some more horror-adjacent work this time of year, and I thank this beautiful crew for letting me satisfy that itch :).

It’s my supreme joy to share with you a RIBBITING new music video I got to create for my darling @latewaves for their new (and final!) single ‘Frog’ off of their upcoming album out 9/29!! I deeply look forward to every chance I get to work on something with these fine folk, because we always manage to pull rabbits out of hats in the most fun ways. In this case we pulled out some frog-themed onesies, stage play-style decor, an entire van bench, and a couple of perfect little cameos. I’m so happy to be able to share the music video I got to create for some of my longest known homies in the scene. @defnotyerbaby are here to rock your Thursday with the incredible banger “Gemini”. Carrot and the gang came to me with such a strong vision for what they wanted in this video, and futzing how exactly we were going to achieve those visions with the tools at our disposal is my literal favorite part of the process. I had a ton of fun playing with shadow, reflections, and some spicy little post-effects while the band just melted my face off with their energy. Nothing but love to this crew :) And shoutout to bestie @connorhanson_music for producing the ever-loving hell out of this track!!

Today I am so deeply thrilled to share with you the RELEASE of my dear friend @blaise86 ’s brand new album ‘Sealed With Best Wishes’. Right alongside it, a music video for the gorgeous coda to ephemeral love that is ‘Still A Fool’. Marking the very latest in an uncountable queue of visuals that I’ve gotten to produce with Blaise, we wanted to try something a little different by placing the viewer into the eyes of this ‘ephemeral lover’ that signposts the narrative alongside him. I’m so THRILLED to be sharing with you today a beautifully intimate live performance from Cavetown @lemon.socks of the captivating song ‘better’, filmed right inside Robin’s own NY apartment. Extra cool is the fact that this piece is a contribution to the @recordingacademy Grammy’s ‘Global Spin’ series highlighting live performances from artists around the world! It was a magical experience getting to capture this track coming together in real time, in the hands of a true bedroom studio wizard. Welcome to the wild wild world of ‘Problem Child’!!! The searing new single from @babiejulez_ , produced by cunning cohort @connorhanson_music . Of course we had to make a music video to match the unhinged frenetic ethos of the song itself. This one has some special sauce (or icing rather) in that I was lucky enough to use @atlaslensco anamorphics to really sell the somehow familiar otherworldlyness of our narrative.
