'The sad reality of cyberspace warfare is that the battlefield covers the Earth, from civilian infrastructure to combat war zones' At the beginning of the 21st Century, warfare in cyberspace was unheard of. Not until information technologists warmed to an impending catastrophe based on the belief that electronics would not be able to compute dates that did not begin with “19.” Dubbed as the Y2K problem, people worldwide worried that banks would fail, the power grids would go dark, planes would fall out of the sky, and just about everything connected to or controlled by a computer would become useless....

On "HOMELAND SECURITY OFF THE RECORD," tomorrow, February 20, 2021, 8-10 PM EST, my dear friend, Salvador “Sal” Zamora (https://lnkd.in/gMTb4_d), a distinguished gentleman I know many of you know … and love, joins me for an in-depth discussion.

After a nearly 30-year, illustrious career in the US Border Patrol, most in senior-level positions. Sal recently retired from the USBP at CBP HQ as the Strategic Communications Director, Associate Chief, DHS/CBP/USBP.

Listen live here at show time in your time zone: https://lnkd.in/gBVidBA

Sal was the first BP Agent I was put in touch with in El Paso when I first began travelling across the SW border in early 2006, penning numerous award-winning articles before the problems on the border – even the “border wall” – were household expressions. It is a genuine honor to have Sal on the show. Thank you my friend, and thank you for your exemplary service to the nation for so many years.
