Honest, but early opinion on Lost Ark

Game feels nice, good flow and combat. The beta (not sure if it will be in live) started off at combat level of 10. I had all of my abilities right away but still had to go through the beginning tutorial. I was shredding everything.

Played 2 hours pretty much nonstop push and got to level 13. I am curious if the exp is squashed for beta sakes. Killing mobs in the open world gave me 2XP and some of the mobs had more.. the "harder" they were.

The quest line is fun, easy to follow. The markers are very similar to a game like tera. where it showed you the area where you needed to do things and pretty easy to complete the objectives.. a lot of handholding in that fashion.

The combat is fun, easy to control. my bard abilities tracked.. I am uncertain that that is the regular mechanic or not. Once I leveled up, i got skill points to assign.. I leveled up 3 of my abilities and from there, you can "enhance" it further. Once I did that those abilities SLAYED.

Teleporting pads cost to bounce between areas. These are out in the world like waypoints in diablo.. but has a coin cost to using it just like new worlds way points.

There are no game servers, everyone is together. you can see other players doing quests. Some of the quests are tag based.. but killing mobs does not seem to be tag based.
just looting items like clickable plants or honey or whatever.

The interface gives me Genshin and Tera vibes. Also reminds me a lot of the mobile game World of Kings. There is a login bonus to it.. very mobile app like. I feel like there is going to be a hidden getcha behind this game.

I will most likely play this when it releases. I am a fan of diablo and probably will enjoy this game.. up until the p2w aspect creeps up (if ever)
