Personally, I think every new Smash game has been better than the last. I haven’t really cared about Melee since Brawl came out. That said, it might be a neat idea if, after Ultimate is said and done, they ported Melee to the Switch. It’d make a lot of money, that’s for sure.

We honestly don’t deserve a game as good as Smash Ultimate is looking to be. In a time when other developers hide content behind paywalls, force preorders and nickel and dime us, I’m just astounded to see Sakurai’s constant effort to give us everything he can.

Taking a moment to temper my hype here before the Smash Direct.

No expectations. Smash Ultimate is already going to be the hugest game in the series, anything else at this point is just frosting.
