Jewels was my first dog from puppyhood until she passed at the too-young age of 8. She was my best friend, and because she came home when I was going into grade 6, she was a huge part of me becoming the dog loving, crazy GSD mom that I am today.

I’m becoming a very spiritual person, and I know without a shadow of a doubt that Jewels is back with me now as my sweet girl Bailey, (or maybe Bruno, but I’m pretty sure it’s Bailey 😂) and have luckily had her presence confirmed by multiple other spiritual people in my life making me feel less insane about the similarities and characteristics I’ve picked up on over the last few years! 😅

It’s so magical having a little spirit guide earthside with you. Thanks for always having my back you sweet, sweet soul.

Summers been busy! But we’ve been making the most of it 🥹

Bruno had his Neuter this month and Bailey had her last beat cycle before she gets spayed in October - talk about tensions running high 😯

Anyways, we’re ready to make the most out of the rest of this summer and are MORE than ready for beautiful fall weather full of hikes and adventures without the looming threat of heatstroke ☀️☀️☀️

HAPPY VICTORIA DAY! 🎆🇨🇦

With this long weekend marking the start of the summer season (unofficially of course) we’re so excited to get outside this year and explore! I want to show these babies the world, and show up for the German shepherd community! We can’t wait to get out there and experience everything Ontario has to offer!!

We hope everyone had a great weekend with friends and family and got to enjoy some of the nice weather!

Morning Walkies Compilation 🥹

We’ve started walking every morning! Usually we walk less frequently, swapping walks for ball chase and playing, but it’s been a big goal to start walking everyday and to eventually be able to walk with both puppers together (we’ll get there 🙃)! Here’s a few shots from our morning walkies this week, and I’m so proud of the training consistency we’ve been able to achieve in just 6 days!

Bruno has made amazing progress with his focus, and after I work out a lot of his pent up energy he is SO willing to work. We’ve made amazing strides with his loose leash walking, and even his heel! I love seeing him succeed.

Bailey is already pretty advanced for her commands and loves to work, but she struggles with dog reactivity. When we started this morning walk situation, we still couldn’t walk past another dog without a big reaction, but today we had a small pup walk up to us and Bailey turned and walked the other way. HUGE win for us. I’m so proud of her.

Here’s to another week of progress with my babes and of with & 🥰🥰🥰
