My unpopular opinion… ⤵️
❌ The LENGTH OF TIME that you're single has nothing to do with whether or not you are ready to get into a new relationship.
❤️🩹 Instead, it has way more to do with HOW MUCH HEALING you have done since the end of your last relationship.
💔 You can stay SINGLE FOR YEARS, continuing to blame your ex-partner for all the things that went wrong. You can spend your time numbing your feelings by drinking, sleeping around, and avoiding looking inward.
💔 You can also JUMP FROM ONE RELATIONSHIP TO ANOTHER, continuing to repeat the same unhealthy patterns. You can be blinded by the “amazing chemistry”, never realizing your own unhealed wounds are contributing to your inability to develop or maintain a healthy relationship after the honeymoon phase is over.
📆 The success of your next relationship has nothing to do with how many days you cross off your calendar.
