As we approach the latest collaboration from VIHSION and Vandervecken Cybernetics, I would like to revisit the first time Josh Bailey and I joined forces.

Through his software engineering expertise and love for music, Josh pioneered a MIDI control system called ‘Chime Red’. This technology allows musicians to create sonics, by directly controlling the electric charges produced when connected to a Tesla coil.

In 2017 I created a documentary about Chime Red, whilst completing my Master of Fine Arts at Victoria. Josh used this documentary to draw more attention to Chime Red, which has since been used by the likes of Ju**ie XL and John Psathas.

3D-modelled a human for the first time! Or at least the head lol .. I still have to build out the body .. but enjoy this bust for the interim

Love continuing to learn, up-skill myself and evolve my practices on my own terms! I’ve always loved having human subjects in my drawings and videography, and excited to create some badass 3D avatars in the future

A mindset we should all adopt not only for 2021, but every year proceeding it.

Giving kindness comes naturally to some more than others. In the same vein, adversity is experienced by some more than others.

Speaking from my own experiences as a double-minority, it’s become apparent that a large amount of people who choose to be unkind are often projecting their own hurt, their own insecurities and in turn, want others to feel inadequate.

Kindness should not be mistaken for weakness. Moreover, it does not revoke anyone of the right to stand up for themselves.

Don’t let other people’s nastiness derail the trajectory of your overall peace and positive energy. They are hurt and still healing.

Remove yourself from the equation and continue to elevate.
