Serial production of "two-door" Mercedes-Benz S-Class will end in 12 months.
Two weeks after the end of production of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan in the US and the A-Class in Mexico, the German brand announced that the S-Class coupe and convertible will soon be retired. The last model year for the two-door will be 2021. In light of the close farewell, the company has prepared for them the only update - a new shade Cirrus Silver in the body palette.

According to a report published in July 2019, in general, seven models of the brand have come under the knife in the United States, including the S-Class coupe and convertible, which will become history next year. According to Motor1, American dealers of the brand are unhappy with the "bloated portfolio of the company."

Also, Mercedes-Benz intends to abandon the C-Class and E-Class coupes and convertibles. With demand for premium crossovers growing 73% over the past five years, high-performance models will dominate the brand's lineup.

The next premiere of Mercedes-Benz will be a new generation S-Class sedan. The online debut of the flagship sedan is scheduled for September 2. In all likelihood, the W223 generation will not have two-door derivatives. Fans of coupes and convertibles will be offered the upcoming SL Roadster and the next generation AMG GT Coupe. This pair will become the flagship "two-door" brand.

In September 2020, Porsche will unveil two Panamera hybrid variants: the base hybrid and the Turbo S E-Hybrid.
The updated second-generation Porsche Panamera family debuted a few days ago, but without the 680-hp Turbo S E-Hybrid. As it turned out, the new Turbo S E-Hybrid will be released "in the coming weeks or months" and will be more powerful than its predecessor. At the same time, the increase in power will not affect the dynamic characteristics of the hybrid. The head of the Panamera model line, Thomas Freemouth, spoke about this in an interview with the Australian edition of Whichcar.

There are no details about the power plant of the new Turbo S E-Hybrid. Presumably, the former 3.0-liter supercharged V6 will be replaced by the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 from the Panamera Turbo S. While the power of the electric "makeweight" will remain the same - 136 hp. At the same time, the output of the hybrid power plant will be about 750 hp, which is superior in power even to the Porsche 911 GT2 RS.

The new-generation Volvo FH 460 with I-Save was recently field tested on the 343 km Green Truck test route near Munich. With an incredible 22.70 l / 100 km, Volvo's flagship has set a new record for fuel efficiency, ahead of other renowned truck manufacturers.
The new Volvo FH with I-Save technology is part of the new generation Volvo Trucks launched in spring 2020. I-Save technology includes many fuel-saving solutions, most notably the 13-liter Volvo D13TС turbocharged engine. It was released in early 2019 and is currently the most fuel efficient engine in the company.

The 2020 Volvo FH with I-Save technology is available in a version that reduces fuel costs by 10%. Compared to the previous generation, which delivered 7% fuel savings, this translates into a significant improvement of 3 additional percentage points. “Reducing fuel consumption and, as a result, lower CO2 emissions, is critical for all transport companies, especially those who carry out long-distance transportation. With the new Volvo FH with I-Save technology, we are giving transport companies even more opportunities to reduce operating costs and environmental impact, ”says Jessica Sandström, Senior Vice President Product Management Volvo Trucks.
