PARADE 💙

Wow. I cannot believe the detail, talent, and humanity built into this show…
I keep trying and retrying to describe it but is truly a masterpiece beyond words.

First and foremost, this lovely cast 😍
of COURSE is a genius and I still cannot believe I just sat 10 feet away from him for 2 and a half hours. brought me to tears several times with her brilliantly strong voice — which I can’t stop listening to on the cast album. killed it with his powerhouse emotion and tone UGH, was so smart with his character and a delight to meet at the stage door, .ped was INCREDIBLE as Frankie Epps — one of those characters you fall in love with and with Jake you cannot keep your eye off of his entire emotional arc (was also so so sweet and a great hugger at the stage door! a gem), was incredible as ever and gave 110% to every moment onstage, in addition to all of these beautifully talented people they are matched by the energy and talent of every single person onstage 🙌

I also want to mention how insane it is to meet people I have had the privilege to interview at the stage door: in this case, who killed it onstage and was so sweet offstage as well.

I am so grateful to be back in NYC for a short time and to be welcomed with such a breathtaking, thought provoking production, thank you 💙

In addition to her fascinating theatre work behind the scenes, she takes SHUCKED fans into rehearsals to illustrate her job and the rehearsal process of this brand-new musical.

BUT this is not all! On top of all of this work, she has several other jobs to maintain a steady living in New York City (a challenge more prominent than ever) such as voice acting.

It was wonderful to have her join Real Talk just days before I “get Shucked on Broadway” in my upcoming New York City trip.

Welcome Back to Real Talk!

🙌 After 9 months away from releasing episodes, Mason returns to discuss the future of Real Talk!

Burnout is a battle that we always hear about, but generally assume that it won’t get to us – but with everything going on, it happened for me. Join me for a few minutes as I discuss why I have been absent on the podcast scene for so long, my love for theatre getting rejuvenated over and over, and the re-introduction of my podcast!

Since the beginning, I have done this show as a way to connect with Broadway in a world where theatres had been shuttered – but that purpose isn’t necessarily the most needed as performing returns for us. While off, I reflected on the reason I keep wanting to reach out and interview amazing artists from around the industry and I came to the conclusion;
THIS is my exploration of careers and my resource to figure out what my own future will look like. Through interviews, I am finding out the benefits of colleges, internships, experience, and networking.

It is my sincere hope that you and everyone listening will be able to use my show as a resource to find the place that we ALL deserve! (Because there is a place for us all in this wonderfully busy industry)

Season Tix , Show 2!
🥀🖤

Yes- I am a MONTH late, but that’s OK 😂
From the second the cast came onstage for this show, it was incredibly moving. One of the most emotional shows I have ever seen — through music, story, lighting, sound, and nuanced detail.

is such a brilliant writer and makes EVERY WORD count and deepen each and every characters story line…

and This CASTTTTT ugh—
They KNOW how to tell a story with such emotion, power, and intention.
specifically brought so much heartbreak and character to Eurydice with such a beautiful beautiful voice that filled the Fabulous Fox SOOO well.
Along side her powerful performance, with his beautifully subtle falsetto brought out so much emotion in just the simple motif that would make spring come again. And he was so sweet at the stage door…
On the topic of stage door — and I had such a wonderful conversation about the power and intention of this show. It was wonderful to discuss the personal connection to music and how the energy of the performers fills the Fabulous Fox to the last row.

I could keep going for DAYS about how brilliant these performers were, but apparently Instagram has a character limit too…

I love love loved finally getting to see ‘s designs in person after interviewing him over a year ago — his design and specific use of shadows is FASCINATING to me. As someone with minimal tools to create anything different than a shadowy, dramatic take, I love seeing that used in such a magnificent, large-scale way is so amazing.

Movement and coordination with the set and lighting puts so much emphasis the idea of the Hades “machine” that is strengthened by the nuanced movement of the ensemble.

10/10 Theatre! A fantastically brilliant, purposeful show 🖤

Tonights Playbill… ! 📖

If you are asking yourself “Mason, weren’t you in NYC and saw this like 3 weeks ago?”… Yes, I am seeing this again PROUDLY

I am so excited to have seen such a wonderful cast and tour this close to their opening. Their energy was not lost in this huge house which gave such a wonderful essence to the show!!

This musical is hilarious, inappropriate (which is like the best part), breathtaking, and a spectacle.

Congratulations to this wonderful company on their recent opening and sending you love for your busy life on tour ❤️

SIDE NOTE: These people are some of the sweetest and most generous, I am so happy to have met and chatted with a few at the stage door and always hold those moments close to me… ( , , , , )
Pretty sure I was dancing with during bows from the balcony… I think he might have seen the fist pumping LMAO😂

So happy to kick off our Fox season tickets energetic show!
The effect and legacy of the wonderful Temptations is beautifully highlighted curtain to curtain — weaving through some of their best Motown hits with captivating dances.

Seeing all the different kinds of choreography is so so cool — his talent goes far beyond the rehearsal rooms, he creates such a wonderful spectacle that keeps audiences coming again and again.

A relatively new concept in theatre is projection design, which is stitched into every single scene of Ain’t Too Proud! has created some of the most iconic projections across Broadway and his use of screens and multiple projectors is so fascinating to observe as a person interested in technical theatre.

This show is still traveling across the US — and you will not regret getting tickets to see this beautiful, ELECTRIC show. 🧡

Can’t wait for the rest of the season in this BEAUTIFUL theatre…

NYC Playbill 4 - 📖

Ugh our final show in the city 😭

This was so hysterical in the best and worst way 😂 It felt awful to laugh at some of this, but I think that is the beauty of this show…

And the casts energy throughout the performance makes it so much more funny.

FOR EXAMPLE, as an audience member you cannot keep your eyes off of because of his dedication to every moment — in dance, during scenes, and everywhere between.
I am so so happy to have met and seen him onstage, especially after our interview almost two years ago! He is one of the funniest, nicest, and prettiest people ever.

In addition, was a delight to talk with at the stage door because of his Indiana roots! Coming into the show, I had been told about him being from the same area and was immediately so excited to see our town represented on a Broadway stage.

OMG — was AMAZING as Eldee Price and I ran into him down the road after the show. So so sweet and so happy to have gotten to chat with him for a second ❤️

There was a handful of moments where I was like “did they just-“ and the answer was always a resounding “Yes… they did” 🤭😇
And I won’t even bother with examples…

There was even more Real Talk represented at Book of Mormon — you can see the beautiful set design by which is a wonderful addition to this hilarious production.

I won’t spoil anything else for you, but you need to go see this show!

NYC Playbill 2 - Into The Woods 🧡🌳

Fantastically brilliant — to say the least.

This is such a well done production that I am still thinking about it…
I had been so so eager to see this show since it was at and the second they announced the extension I bought tix.

Let me tell YOU!
Someone on twitter was talking about learning more in the span of this show than in any class ever… and I can see why. The skill and thought that goes into each moment onstage is incredible.

There is an entire world of choices that I could dive into…
‘s intention in every motion did not go unnoticed by anyone in that theatre. Incredible (AND she did justify the beans 😭😭 I was crying)
Her husband (both onstage and IRL), was a delight to see — and the soothing nature of his voice still resonates in my head. “No More” was breathtaking matched equally with “It Takes Two”

Now… PATINA MILLER () gave my chills the entirety of “Witch’s Lament” and “Children Will Listen”
A stunning, stunning performer and person.
The PANTSUIT was iconic — as well as the dress.

Along with these fantastic people you had .geraghty as Little Red (hilarious and witty, loved), as Cinderella (a joy for the eyes and ears), and as Rapuzel (her voice is incredible, and family is so so sweet! Was standing directly next to them at the stage door ❤️)
OH AND AS MILKY WHITE — He was so so precious. I loved everything Kennedy was doing to make Milky White a fully fledged character in the show!

Love love loved everything about this show.
Having basically memorized every line, I was so looking forward to seeing it come to life for the first time of me not being onstage…

Go see this show before it is too late!
(But I am manifesting extension into… forever)

IF YOU HAVE A VIDEO OF BOWS FROM SEPTEMBER 16TH, PLEASE DM ME 😭😂 SJB waved at me and I need evidence.

NYC Playbill 1 - ! 💚💜

This show… a fantastic combination of spectacle, comedy, heart, and everything in between. I am GUTTED to see it closing in January — go see it while you can!!

Some amazing people were on the evening I was there… (September 15th)
on for Beetlejuice!
as Delia!
Nevada Riley as Katie Lombardo!

These fantastic people were joined by several swings that weren’t completely listed in the insert but have been the life blood of Broadway, especially now.

One of those talented people was — a true delight to not only see him onstage, working his butt off, but also getting to interview him earlier that same day. Stay tuned for more information on my next season and how you can hear Sean’s path to Broadway and joining Beetlejuice as a Vacation Swing.

I could go on and on about the talent in this cast!
was BREATH-TAKING and it felt like a gift to see and feel the constant emotion she puts out onstage.
had me almost falling into the aisle laughing — from his first entrance, I could not stop smiling. His comedic timing and wit was 🤌 (especially the audience interaction with “New phone… let me say it!… who dis” 😭😭)
was a beam of energy and hilarity, perfectly fitting with her counter part .
UGH — there are not enough words to describe how haunting (in a good way) this show was!

It was a super special night for me as well! This was my first show back in NYC since 2016 and my first Broadway show for my parents and I could not be more pleased with this show!!

Thank you to these wonderful and the entire company for making a unforgettable show
💚💜

Closing out season… Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat! 🌈

Now I have to admit… this was my first exposure to Joseph 🫢
It was absolutely brilliant with a multi-talented cast!

has been my icon for so so long- and her riffing had my jaw (along with everyone in the audience) on the floor. It was mind-blowing.

ALSO- singing “Close Every Door” had me crying harder than I have in months. The energy and emotion with him BELTING to 11,000 people was a phenomenal masterclass in performance.

A biblically good show to close out this summer…

Thank you to several people from The Muny for supporting me and continuing to welcome me into your intermission conversations 💚
