The crew at Moon Lake Electric is pretty awesome, they found a tree had fell on the line feeding power to the Tabby Mtn Main site, they busted their butts getting the tree removed and the power has been restored. I have gone through every site and all of the channels are back on the air, some times Mother Nature puts us all in time out.

Power is out on Tabby Mtn, Moon Lake has been notified, hopefully they can get things fixed soon.

Power Outage at our receive site in Lehi, power company has been notified and they are investigating the issue. No time frame for a repair, hopefully things will come back once power is restored.

Making repairs to Butcherknife, channels will be down while we run new Coax.

Latest round of storms have wrecked my Coax’s on the Butcherknife tower, I will need to replace all the lines. I don’t have a time frame but will get this fixed ASAP, for now I’ve had to back the power down so some areas may experience pixelated or freeze framing, some on the far edge might loose channels, this is a temporary situation while I get the parts and tower crew to run the new lines, I will update when I get it fixed.

I am on Tabby Mountain fixing some power issues, channels may go off for a brief period while I make some changes, I won’t leave until everything is back and happy.

Looks like I’ve got some blown breakers on Tabby, Ch 5 and Ch 13 are off the air, this affects Duchesne and Butcherknife as well. I will get there as soon as I can.

I am at Fruitland today installing an additional Air Conditioner, I will have everything off while I get this installed, transmitters are overheated and need to cool down. Nonidea how long this is going to take, I will update when I am finished up.

I am on Tabby today, we have been working with our manufacturer and have found the issue, I will be turning things on and off while I implement the changes, no idea how long this will take but I will get things working. Don’t blow up the page with your missing channels until after I have completed the work up here and notify everyone, I don’t anticipate trouble at the lower sites but it could happen and feel free to let me know. After I have notified that Tabby is operational. Ground rules, I need to know where you are located. I have 5 sites. If you know where you receive from feel free to put that, your location gives me a good idea where you get your signal. Patients, this takes time, to get to Duchesne and or Butcherknife I will be 2 hours of driving, it may be tomorrow, that’s a worse case scenario. Don’t call the stations in SLC, first and foremost, this is NOT their system, this belongs to the County, I know all of the engineers and usually they just call to see if I need anything, the people answering the phones 9 times out of 10 don’t have any idea what the problem is as they don’t monitor it. Enough Face Page, I’ve got work to do. Thanks!

So so so much on my mind tonight…. We have a great group of commissioners in Duchesne County, I’ve been fighting with the equipment on Tabby Mountain, and fighting the equipment in Fruitland for some time. We have a manufacturer who understands how these smaller communities work and have built some fantastic equipment, we completely rebuilt our ButcherKnife site last year and it has been wonderful, we decided it was time to give Tabby another overhaul as it provides the signal to ButcherKnife, Duchesne, and Fruitland, it is the main site for Duchesne County. We got everything installed and that was a massive undertaking, rebuilding all of the equipment racks, wire, network cables, and programming takes time. We ran into a weird issue, when I plug these into the network it kills all the microwave feeding North Eastern Utah, from Dutch John to San Juan. I was unaware that I had killed the entire network until Carbon Counties tech called me to see if I was having trouble. I’ve had the manufacturer on the phone, they did a remote connection to my computer, we made the changes that should have resolved the issue, but it didn’t. So unfortunately I had to leave without getting the broadcast back up, we have a plan B but I will have to go to Price to borrow some equipment from Carbon County, thankful they are willing to share and help us out while we work through this new equipment. This is the latest version that is capable of moving us into the future changes that are coming, these are higher powered units that hopefully will help us with some of the interference issues we’ve been seeing. This network is complex, it’s difficult to manage, and extremely temperamental, one small change can have huge impacts. Sorry I broke the system, it wasn’t to be mean!
