AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE!

For the last few weeks, our team has been doing some research on the new features and functionalities that Facebook added since the February 1st update.


During this period, one alarming thing that came up to our attention is that over the past several weeks Facebook has been monitoring and tracking all user activities even when you are offline and not on Facebook. This means all the activities including that you are doing on your browsers are getting tracked 'silently'.

We suggest you to look now as you won't believe what they see. To get some idea of what they are seeing, follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Go to Facebook settings and scroll down to 'Your Facebook information' section.
2. Click on the 'Off-Facebook activity'.
3. Go to 'Manage your off-Facebook activity'. Here you can see the list of your activities that has been recorded.
Here you can choose 'clear history' to clear out the list.

To turn off the future tracking activity, in the same settings(one step back), click on 'More options' and go to 'Manage Future Activity'. There you can find the option 'Future off-Facebook activity' which you can turn-off.

The worst part is, Facebook doesn't bother to inform its user about this tracking activity.

Forecast of the COVID-19 epidemic in India with mitigatory social distancing : Each of the four panels shows the variation in the number of infectives with lockdown of various duration.

The three-week lockdown starting 25 March does not prevent resurgence after its suspension as shown in panel (a).
Neither does a further lockdown of another 28 days spaced by a 5 days suspension, as shown in panel (b).

The protocols in panel (c) and panel (d), comprising of three lockdowns with 5 day relaxations and a single 49 days lockdown reduce case numbers below 10.

This forecast is based on all cases being symptomatic, so ā=1. The fit parameter is β = 0.0155 and we set γ = 1/7.
