⦿ : COUNTRYWIDE activity: chance of a thunderstorm province wise: 90 % of KPK, upper Punjab and Azad Kashmir, 50 % of southern Punjab and Sindh to be affected. 70% of Balochistan
⦿ : Widespread accompanied by , intermittent very HEAVY showers and strong gusts up to 75 km/h, Check maps 3-4.

⦿ Active weather will continue in western parts of the country this week: this include Balochistan's NE, Bar Khan, Dera Bugti regions, Punjab's western parts incl. DG Khan, Mianwali, Bhakkar all the way north to Attock, all of KPK with particularly high frequency of thunderstorm activity in Parachinar and Kohat regions.

However, between Saturday night and Tuesday afternoon a strong WD is expected from which the following is expected:

⦾ In , widespread thunderstorm-rain in northeastern Balochistan, while scattered thunderstorm in southern parts of the province. Mostly in the region today and tomorrow. RAIN could be quite heavy in Harnai, Ziarat and Barkhan region. will remain below normal during the day. High probability of hail storms in eastern Balochistan including Sibi, Barkhan, and Dera Bugti regions. will get windy on Sunday and gusts can top 70 km/h in the city.

⚡🌀 WIDESPREAD (2-3 rounds) accompanied by moderate to HEAVY RAIN along with strong expected across the Punjab. In addition, hail and strong winds up to 75 km/h possible in / , Sargodha and , , , Sahiwal, Sialkot and regions. Several rounds of thunderstorms and amounts in excess of 25-35 mm with isolated locations exceeding 50 mm in 72 hours possible in Rawalpindi, Chakwal, Attock, Jhelum, and Mianwali Regions. There is a chance of SEVERE STORMS producing LARGE HAIL and HEAVY RAIN in , , .
Maximum to drop by 5-8 °C expected. In southern parts of Punjab Scattered THUNDERSTORMS may cause DUST STORMS in Multan, DG Khan, Bahawalpur, and Rahim Yar Khan regions. High probability of HEAVY HAIL in DG Khan and Rajanpur while only isolated rain expected in extreme south and SE parts of the province.

⦾ In KPK:
2 or 3 rounds of thunderstorms would develop in across KPK including , , , , and DI Khan regions and gain strength over Punjab moving East. Storms could become severe causing prolonged hail and lightning strikes along with HEAVY RAIN showers.

⦾ In Azad and mountainous KPK:
Severe thunderstorms are not likely, however, thundery- moderate to heavy rain is expected. Cold winter-like rain would again set up in Swat Valley, and regions on the 21st. MORE HEAVY in KPK is expected over 9000 feet on the today. WET SNOWFALL/ sleet in KPK including Kaghan Valley Kalam and Malamjabba regions possible. Heavy rainfall is possible in , while a chance of thunderstorm-hail in and regions.

⦾ In :
Scattered Thunderstorm-hail/rain in , Dadu and Nawabshah regions is expected over the weekend into Monday. Dust storms, possibility of large hail and VERY HEAVY RAIN showers in some locations possible. Partly to mostly cloudy skies in southern Sindh including and however, there is a 20 % chance of a thunderstorm with showers in the northern parts of Karachi. A 3-5 °C drop in maximum temperatures is expected during this time across the province!

پنجاب کی مغربی بیلٹ پر بادلوں کی تشکیل ہورہی ہے. کوہ سلیمان کے پہاڑی علاقوں پر گرج چمک والے بادل بن چکے ہیں. آنے والے گھنٹوں کے دوران جنوبی پنجاب میں چند مقامات پر گرج چمک کے ساتھ ہلکی سے معتدل بارش جبکہ اکا دکا مقامات پر ژالہ باری کے اچھے امکانات ہیں. جن میں ڈیرہ غازی خان / ملتان / روجھان / راجن پور / علی پور / اور بہاولپور ڈویژن شامل ہیں.

WAKE UP KARACHITIES!
As you may know, we have been tracking a long duration strong western disturbance which will affect country between 19-24th March.

As per latest update of models specially ECMWF, chances have further bumped up for to recieve its first proper rain/Thunderstorm of the season during 22-23rd March 2021... But Don't hurry and take your umbrellas out of cabinets yet because though Forecast has entered mid-range which is considered as the range where Forecasts usually start to settle, there is still uncertainty around the intensity, projected path of WD and the moisture supply it would get for Arabian Sea. 1-2 more days are required so we would have better idea of dynamics of this system.

What is confirmed as of now is that isolated to scattered areas of are likely to see Rain/Thunderstorms accompanied with Hail during 19-24th March.

Wait for one more day, there has been a sudden jump in precipitation forecast from ECMWF & CMC which could be overestimating.. GFS was consistently showing medium precipitation forecast.. however now like GFS, other models are also predicting direct moisture supply from Arabian sea.

If these forecast verifies, we might be getting normal to above normal rains for many parts of country (during next 7 days) for the month of March, InshaAllah.
