Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to the area of 52nd & O Streets just before 2 A.M. this morning for a suspicious article that was found by LPD during a traffic stop. The item that was discovered was described as a cylinder-like object with a fuse. It was found with multiple other weapons, including an AR-style rifle. Two subjects were detained during the search. LFR remained on scene until a little after 4am until technicians could complete their work.
Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to the area of 70th Street and Eastborough Lane after 1:45 this morning for a structure fire that started in the kitchen. All occupants of the home were evacuated when units arrived on location; there were no injuries reported.
Authorities are investigating a homicide that originally occurred in the parking lot of Russ’s Market, 1550 South Coddington Avenue at 10:00 PM Friday.
A male was found in the area of W A Street and South Folsom Street who was shot. The male was transported to Bryan West by Lincoln Fire and Rescue where he died due to his injuries.
The investigation is ongoing and LPD urges anyone with any information to call CrimeStoppers or LPD directly at 402-441-6000.

Just after midnight, Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to the area of 48th Street and Cornhusker Highway just under the train track bridge for a vehicle that had attempted to cross the road and failed.
When Engine 5 arrived, they found three vehicles that had been submerged, one of those vehicles was floating. There were no injuries reported.

📽️: Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to Heritage Lakes Apartments at 7120 S 90th Street Saturday Morning just after 1 AM for a fire in the kitchen that originally started in the oven and spread to the cabinets.
The fire was quickly put out as there were no extensions to other apartments. There were no injuries on scene.

Water is on the fire at 14:47, LPD is going to shutdown Westbound Cornhusker Hwy due to the incident.
There is a heavy fire on the delta side, they are stretching hand lines there and will be opening up.
They are making no progress on the fire itself. It is starting to spread to Alpha- Charlie side.
ALL attack lines are moving from the Delta to the Alpha side, command wants ALL lines going to the front door- the roof is starting to burn, they are getting everyone back.
This is a THREE ALARM fire now, there is an exposure, a landscaping company, 2120 Cornhusker hwy.

Lincoln Police Department has arrested 36 y/o Samuel Peyrot after he damaged a police cruiser, two businesses, and multiple other vehicles with his employer’s skid loader in Southeast Lincoln on Sunday. One man in a damaged truck had minor injuries.

E9 is on location and in command, they have a motorcycle vs SUV with someone in the road. The SUV driver is unable to get out due to airbag deployment.
M7 is en route to Bryan West Code 3 with a category red trauma. From a motorcycle accident, traveling 40-50 mph when he was struck by a sedan. Heavy damage to the motorcycle and a compound fracture to the leg. They were wearing a helmet and was thrown from the motorcycle.
