❗University of Western Cape has its own method of calculating the APS
• They don’t call it APS, its "UWC Points"

✅They include Life Orientation when calculating your points and they also give you extra points for
• English,
• Mathematics/Maths Literacy
• Life Orientation

Example:
❗You can have 23 APS and have 32 UWC Points because of the extra points you get for English, Maths and Life Orientation
❗So calculate your UWC Points first , you might be surprised seeing that you actually qualify for their courses

✅English and Maths/Maths Literacy get extra points for example:
• 90-100% is 15 Points
• 80-89% is 13 points
• 70-79% is 11 points
• 60-69% is 9 points
• 50-59% is 7 points
• 40-49% is 5 points
• 30-39% is 3 points
• 20-29% is 1 point
• Any score under 20% is a ZERO

✅Life Orientations is included when calculating your points but is calculated this way
• 90-100% is 3 Points
• 80-89% is 3 points
• 70-79% is 2 points
• 60-69% is 2 points
• 50-59% is 2 points
• 40-49% is 1 point
• 30-39% is 1 point
• 20-29% is 1 point
• Any score under 20% is a ZERO
• UWC only has Bachelor Degrees.
