The Vice President of Ghana Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has responded to the expose by Tiger Eye which involves Mr. Charles Adu Boahen, Minister of State for Finance.

THE 'CONFESSIONS' AND EXPOSÉ

Charles Adu Boahen, Minister of State in charge of Finance at the Office of the President, has revealed to Tiger Eye that the Vice President, Dr Mahamadu Bawumia, needs just USD200,000 token as an appearance fee and some positions by an investor for the Vice President’s siblings to get his backing and influence in establishing a business in Ghana.

This revelation was made in a meeting with Tiger Eye investigators, who in an undercover investigation, posed as businessmen, in a hotel room in the United Arab Emirates. This was an investigation into top-level corruption that undermines investor confidence in Ghana.

According to Charles Adu Boahen, the Vice President needs an appearance fee of only USD 200,000 for him to avail himself and offer his support to an investor.

This was when he was asked by the supposed businessmen on how an investor can get the attention of the Vice President and what must be given to him when finally in his presence.

“You mean, like appearance fees and stuff? I mean he, himself (the Vice President), if you give him some (USD) 200,000 or something as a token, as thank you, appreciation, that’s fine. He’s not really, he’s not really (like) that. All he needs is to worry about his campaign money in 2020,” Charles Adu Boahen revealed.

He added that, an investor must also consider opportunities for the siblings of the Vice President for his full support, apart from the USD200,000 appearance fee token to him.

Tiffany, the fourth daughter of former American president, Donald Trump, is set to wed her Nigerian-bred fiancé, Michael Boulos.

According to Page Six, the wedding will be held at Trump’s lavish Palm Beach, Florida, estate on Saturday, 12th November, 2022.

29-year-old Tiffany and Boulos, 24, got engaged last year. They met in Greece in 2017 and have been dating since 2018.

He popped the question to Tiffany with a 13-carat emerald-cut diamond from Dubai said to be worth $1.2 million.

The bride and her parents, Trump and his ex-wife Marla Maples would entertain more than 500 guests at the big wedding.

Tiffany celebrated her bridal shower over the weekend with her sister Ivanka, sister-in-law Lara Trump and Donald Junior’s girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle in Miami, miles away from her father’s Mar-a-Lago estate.

Michael, who is of Lebanese and French descent, was raised in Lagos and is a naturalised Nigerian.

His well-connected family owns a multibillion-dollar conglomerate that trades in vehicles, equipment, retail and construction.

His mother, Sarah Boulos is a popular humanitarian and the founder of the Society for the Performing Arts in Nigeria.

He attended the American International School of Lagos in Nigeria before proceeding to London, where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Global Business Management from Regent's University in 2018.

He also bagged a master’s degree in Project Management, Finance, and Risk at City, at the University of London, in 2019.

This is the most difficult news.

Ifeanyi Adeleke, the 3 year old son of Music star, Davido and his fiancee, Chioma Rowland has sadly died.

The tragic death occured on Monday, October 31.

According to a renowned Nigerian Blogger, Linda Ikeja, Ifeanyi died by drowning at his dad's Banana Island home. He was rushed to Evercare Hospital in Lekki where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The couple had traveled for a family gathering to Ibadan yesterday and had left Ifeanyi with his minders who can't explain how he entered the pool without being noticed and drowned.

We gathered that quite a number of people at Davido's House when the incident happened have been arrested.

A distraught and inconsolable Davido was removed from Evercare Hospital and taken to his father's house where he remains as at press time.

Quite a number of Davido's industry friends are at the hospital this night.

The leadership of the Ghana Private Roads Transport Union (GPRTU) has indicated it will soon communicate to the public new transportation fares following the incessant increase in fuel prices.

The union says the continuous rise in the price of petroleum products is draining the finances of commercial vehicle owners.

The price of petrol per litre has crossed GH¢11 and diesel sells for over GH¢14 per litre at most pumps.

Head of Communications at GPRTU, Abbas Moro, stressed that members under the union are pushing for an increase in transport fares.

“We have sensitised the general public that whenever the prices of fuel go up 10 percent above the existing price, automatically we are supposed to increase fares. There are so many things to look out for including the current economic situation. So for where we are heading towards, we cannot keep sacrificing – definitely when our leadership meets something positive must come out,”

Popular Christian worship leader, Dunsi Oyekan, escapes motor crash

Nigerian gospel music minister and songwriter, Dunsin Oyekan and his crew, on Sunday, miraculously escaped fatalities in a car accident.

The crash occurred on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, between a Toyota Prado SUV and a trailer.

Oyekan and his team were en route Sword of the Spirit Ministries of Bishop Francis Wale Oke when they're vehicle ran under a trailer.

They survived the crash and made it to their destination.

"I remain in awe of God. I am perfectly okay in body, soul and mind," Oyekan said after the crash.

Hackers targeted a Russian taxi app on by sending hundreds of drivers to the same address, causing huge traffic jams in the city of Moscow amid Ukraine invasion.

Yandex Taxi, a Russian app similar to Uber that allows users to order cabs to their location, was reported to have been targeted Thursday morning, September 1. The company later confirmed the incident in a statement.

'On the morning of September 1, Yandex Taxi encountered an attempt by attackers to disrupt the service — several dozen drivers received bulk orders to the Fili region,' the company said in a statement to Forbes.ru.

As a result of the hack, taxis flooded Moscow's Kutuzovsky Prospekt - a major road that runs east to the west leading into the centre of the Russian capital.

The company said its security department 'immediately stopped attempts to artificially' order the taxis. However, this was not enough to stop the gridlock.

'Drivers still spent about 40 minutes in traffic jams due to fake orders. The issue of compensation will be resolved in the near future,' the company said.

No one has taken responsibility for the hack, but it comes as Vladimir Putin's forces continue their invasion of Ukraine.
