A new CDC analysis of Arizona teens ages 12–17 finds that the Pfizer-BioNTech mRNA vaccine was highly effective in protecting against COVID-19 when Delta was the predominant variant circulating and students were returning to in-person learning. Additionally, teens were less likely to be infected with COVID-19 if they wore masks consistently at school and in their communities.
