OK, so, it's been a bit quiet, but hopefully there should be some excitement coming soon! Like RIGHT NOW!!! It has amazing accuracy at fifteen yards, but I don’t think I need to worry about that given how close my target is. The sensitivity of the trigger though. I feel, if you slit my throat, as I fell back I would put a bullet straight through your ball sack and we would have to see which one of us would die of blood loss first. Hopefully it is not you, because you will need some consolation for having to be called dickless for the rest of your life.”

Hello again! I thought I might take a moment to talk about Death On Ice -or Dana Spectra #1 as its listed, because apparently Death on Ice is scary for some reason to Facebook.

A book that will soon be up for sale on this site is one I wrote and did the photography for, called "Remembering Tribeca Studios". Initially it was going to be a retro pulp science-fiction shoot, but that got turned into movie posters, and then more people offered their services and more movie posters with different themes were created and it became "a thing".

One of those themes was a James Bond style set of movie posters with Dana Spectra, model-by-day, spy-by-night (which I thought was a wonderfully rubbish 70's tagline for a movie).

We made eight different posters with three different models appearing as Dana to emulate the idea of different James Bonds. Somewhere along the line, one of those models - my very first Dana - suggested that I actually write a story based on one of the movie posters, and Dana seemed the most viable, so "Death on Ice" was subsequently written.

For some reason, it's the book I'm most nervous about other people reading, perhaps because its a genuine attempt to write adult fiction, rather than the children's fiction of the Monster Trappers or the factual Marvel guides. So far, though, it seems to have been received quite well, which is nice.

Some people (I won't do a Trump and say "many" :P ) have asked if there will be a sequel. There were seven more movie posters made, and I'm working on a sequel to "Remembering Tribeca Studios" which will feature a new Dana Spectra, so I think the answer is probably yes :)

Hi guys, I thought I'd take a moment to introduce you to some of my books, kicking off with the Monster Trappers series.

This is a series of kids book about a young girl named Gemma who joins a group of other kids that trap and capture monsters. The first book in the series - "Apartment X" - sees Gemma move house where she meets Face, Spark and Train and together they investigate the mysterious person in the titular apartment.

"Beast in the Bay" has Gem and her new friend Kelly look for a creature in the nearby Bay that seems to be sinking boats and eating the crews!

"Geeks vs Cheerleaders" has the Trappers caught up in a situation where the school geeks are convinced that the cheerleaders are not what they appear to be...

The fourth book in the series - "The House at Skylar Falls" - will be released in March this year, but let's keep the details of this one a secret for now. :D

All books are available to buy here for $10 each, but for this week, if you want all three, they'll only be $25.

Hi everyone! Welcome to Ryan Alcock Publishing, the page for books that are being published by me (under the imprints Finery and Tribeca Studios), and - let's be honest - written by me.

It sounds self indulgent, but there have been some positive reviews of the books and I'll try to put some up (or people who have read the books are more than welcome to review :) ).

There're are some new books coming this year, the first of which will be Book 4 in the Monster Trappers series in March. There'll be further posts giving more information for each book, so I look forward to bringing these to you, and thank you for supporting this page :)
