🌵 When Sedona's vibes meet McDonald's golden arches, you get the Turquoise M! 💎

How did this happen?

1️⃣ Sedona Aesthetics: This unique McDonald's location embraced the vibrant, Southwestern aesthetics of Sedona. It's all about fitting in with the surroundings.

2️⃣ Local Regulations: Sedona has strict regulations on signage and building appearances to maintain the town's character. This led McDonald's to adapt and incorporate the turquoise color, blending seamlessly into the environment.

3️⃣ Cultural Respect: McDonald's often respects local cultures and traditions in its designs. In this case, they honored the spirit of Sedona by embracing the turquoise hue.

The result? A one-of-a-kind McDonald's that's as much a part of Sedona's charm as its red rock formations.

Save this for your next trip! 🧳

1. Tickets & Reservations: Flights, Hotels, Ferries or Trains. 🚝
Make sure you have both hard copies and virtual copies. Emails etc. Save to your phone incase you don’t have internet access.

2. Make sure you have your boarding pass if you are flying. Print a copy and save a copy to your wallet on your mobile. 🎟️

3. Double check you have all your passports. Check they are in date and have at least 6 months left.

4. Travel Insurance: Make sure you have taken out comprehensive travel insurance that covers you for the country you are visiting. Make sure it covers you if you are taking part in any extreme sports etc. For mountain climbing ensure helicopter rescue is included. 🚨

4. Parking and Car: Make sure you have copies of your parking details and tickets. Ensure you have all required paperwork and insurance for your car if you are driving abroad. 🚗

5. Visa: Check if you need a Visa to visit the country you are going to. Have you applied for the correct one?

6. Medical information: Make sure you have information on any medications you are taking, any allergies or pre-existing medical conditions. Ensure your doctor knows you are going away and order extra medications to cover you while you are away so you don’t run out.💊

7. Emergency Details: Take a list of people to be contacted in an emergency. 🆘

Next on our Hidden Gem series is the Haiku Stairs in Oahu.

These stairs were constructed in 1942 by the Haiku Radio Station.

Now you can visit this top secret place and see if you can make it to the top.

Definitely one for the bucket 🪣 list.

Loch Awe - Hidden Gem Series 💎

Visit Argyll, a two-hour journey by car or train from Glasgow.

Loch Awe is marked by dense forests covering its hillsides, rugged hilltops, rocky coastlines, deserted islands, ancient castles in ruins, and a few delightful villages scattered along its banks. 🌲

The third largest freshwater Loch in Scotland.

Make sure to visit the stunning Kilchurn Castle. 🏰

Best times to visit are between May and September.

Tyneham ghost town - Hidden Gem Series

The lost village was inhabited from the Iron Age until WWII 🏚️

The area was once used as a military training area. The 225 people who lived in the village left and never returned.

Before they abandoned the Dorset Village they attached this note to the Church door. ⛪️

“Please treat the church and houses with care; we have given up our homes where many of us lived for generations to help win the war to keep men free. We shall return one day and thank you for treating the village kindly.”

The village is open for visitors at weekend and during public holidays.
