On November 24, 1971 a man bought a ticket for Northwest Orient Airlines Flight 305 under the name Dan Cooper. Using a bomb, he hijacked the airplane and collected $200,000 in ransom money before jumping out of the plane into the cold rainy night. He was never seen again.
