Film & Television Crew Training for Military Veteran

Veterans already possess many of the qualities that make for a fantastic film & TV crew member, and for this reason, we have created a workshop specifically for Hudson Valley based military veterans! This hands-on 3.5-day training, led by experienced industry professionals, will equip you with the skills needed to succeed in the dynamic and fast-paced realm of production and on-set operations.

In partnership with the Hudson Valley National Center for Veteran Reintegration (HVNCVR), this immersive workshop is designed exclusively for military veterans and will cover the fundamentals of the industry and on-set work. Applicants will learn the principles of working on set in departments such as camera, sound, grip, electric, art, and production. Building on this foundation, the training will culminate in a mock shoot, offering participants direct hands-on experience in various film departments guided by industry professionals.

Make a movie in a weekend!

The Film Festival for Talented Youth (NFFTY) 48-Hour Film Off is open to high school students in the United States as part of a school program. This filmmaking competition event will take place March 22 - 24, 2024 where students must make a film in 48 hours. In order to compete, the registration form must be completed by March 20, 2024. The winning team will receive $500 for your school’s media program and participating team members receive up to 5 FILMMAKER PASSES to NFFTY 2024! You will be a NFFTY filmmaker, walking the red carpet and able to enjoy your finished film on the BIG SCREEN!
